The Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Search & AI to lead our organic growth and artificial intelligence strategies. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for structuring our products, operations, reporting, and execution to help our clients build robust, long-term website, UX, and content strategies.

You will bring significant agency and SEO experience, coupled with a forward-thinking approach to integrating AI into search and content strategies. You will ensure that Future Proof Cornwall remains at the cutting edge of digital marketing, delivering exceptional, measurable results for our expanding national client base.

Key Responsibilities

As the Head of Search & AI, your primary focus will be on providing strategic leadership. You will develop and implement comprehensive, future-proof SEO and AI-driven strategies for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring alignment with their long-term business goals. This involves championing the integration of technical SEO, user experience (UX), and high-quality content, guiding the team in creating holistic website strategies that engage users and satisfy search engine algorithms.

A significant portion of your role will involve structuring our products and operations. You will refine and elevate our SEO and AI service offerings, build scalable operations, standardize reporting frameworks, and optimize execution processes to handle national-level accounts efficiently. Furthermore, you will lead the adoption of AI tools and methodologies within the agency, utilizing AI for advanced data analysis, content generation, answer engine optimization (AEO), and process automation to enhance our service delivery.

Beyond strategy and operations, you will act as a key leader within the agency. You will mentor, inspire, and develop a team of SEO specialists and content creators, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Additionally, you will serve as the senior strategic point of contact for key clients, translating complex SEO and AI concepts into clear, actionable business insights, while continuously monitoring campaign performance to drive strategic pivots and demonstrate clear ROI.

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate for this role possesses extensive experience in SEO, with a proven track record of success within an agency environment, particularly in managing complex, multi-faceted SEO campaigns. You must also demonstrate a strong proficiency in artificial intelligence, understanding the current AI landscape and its practical application in search, content creation, and digital marketing operations.

We are looking for a strategic thinker who can see the bigger picture and develop long-term strategies encompassing SEO, UX, and content. Operational excellence is crucial; you should have experience in building, structuring, and scaling agency operations, products, and reporting systems. You must be a natural leader who can mentor a team and foster collaboration without ego or drama. Exceptional communication skills are required to articulate complex strategies to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. Ultimately, you must align with our culture: working hard but valuing real life, remaining grounded, and feeling excited about helping businesses grow on a national scale while maintaining our Cornish roots.
