Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Butter Processor to join our food production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the processing of butter in accordance with food safety standards and quality specifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic environment focused on high-quality food production, ensuring all products meet stringent HACCP and food safety regulations.

Duties

Operate butter processing equipment following standard operating procedures.
Ensure compliance with HACCP protocols and maintain high standards of food safety throughout all stages of production.
Monitor and adjust machinery to maintain optimal processing conditions, demonstrating mechanical knowledge as needed.
Conduct quality checks on butter products, recording measurements and observations using basic maths skills.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in accordance with food safety regulations.
Assist in the preparation and packaging of butter products, ensuring accurate labelling and documentation.
Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent contamination or accidents during processing.
Collaborate with team members to meet production targets efficiently while maintaining product quality.

Experience

Previous experience in food production or processing is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety standards is desirable but training is available.
Mechanical knowledge or experience with processing machinery is beneficial.
Basic maths skills for measurements, weight calculations, and quality assessments are required.
A proactive attitude towards health and safety practices within a food manufacturing environment is essential.
This role is physical and requires manual handling.
