ONLINE SHOP ASSISTANT – FULL-TIME SHIFTS THROUGHOUT THE DAY

JOIN OUR GROWING E-COMMERCE TEAM

Mangia e Bevi is a growing Italian food business based in Cambridge, supplying customers across the UK through our online shop.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking Online Shop Assistant to join our e-commerce and warehouse team.

The main responsibility of this role is preparing and packaging online orders accurately and carefully, ensuring that products are packed securely and are ready for dispatch.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, is organised and can work efficiently in a busy environment.

The position is initially temporary, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for preparing customer orders placed through our online shop.

Your main focus will be picking products, checking orders and carefully packaging parcels so they are ready for delivery to customers across the UK.

You will work as part of a team and play an important role in ensuring orders leave our warehouse accurately, safely and on time.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Pick products accurately from the warehouse
Prepare and package online customer orders
Check orders carefully before packaging
Ensure products are packed securely and appropriately
Take extra care when packaging fragile and delicate products
Prepare parcels for collection and dispatch
Print and attach shipping labels
Organise completed orders ready for dispatch
Follow company packaging and warehouse procedures
Keep the packing area clean and organised
Report damaged products, missing items or stock discrepancies
Work efficiently to meet daily order targets
Assist with general warehouse and e-commerce duties when required

WORKING PATTERN

The position is full-time, with shifts scheduled throughout the day.

The role requires flexibility, including evening shifts, depending on the needs of the business.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working different shifts and can be flexible with their availability.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for someone who is:

Reliable, punctual and hardworking
Fast and efficient while maintaining attention to detail
Organised and able to follow instructions
Careful when handling food products
Physically fit and comfortable with a hands-on role
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable standing and moving around for extended periods
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible with working hours and shifts
Positive and willing to learn

Previous warehouse, packing, order-picking or e-commerce experience is an advantage, but full training will be provided for the right person.

LANGUAGES

Italian language skills are highly desirable.

Additional languages are also an advantage.
