Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and articulate Communication Officer to join our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading dissemination and communication activities, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders, and enhancing the organisation's public profile. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about public relations and skilled in crafting clear, engaging messages. The Communication Officer will play a vital part in ensuring effective dissemination of information across various channels.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies aligned with organisational goals.
Manage and maintain social media activities, creating engaging content to promote programmes and initiatives.
Coordinate internal communications to ensure staff are informed of organisational updates and policies.
Monitor public perception and respond appropriately to media inquiries or public concerns.
Organise events, campaigns, and outreach programmes to strengthen community engagement.
Collaborate with external partners to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
Maintain an up-to-date archive of communication materials and media coverage.

Requirements

Proven experience in public relations or related communication roles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in British English.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in social media management tools and content creation software.
A proactive approach with excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Degree or diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge of current trends in digital communication and media landscapes is advantageous.

Pay: £15.00 per hour
