We are looking for a driven, detail-oriented Business Analyst to work across all areas of the business — identifying needs, analysing processes, and translating requirements into clear, actionable specifications. You will act as a critical link between business and delivery teams, ensuring requirements are thoroughly documented, understood, and successfully implemented. This role spans business operations, strategic projects, and regulatory mandates, and requires sharp analytical thinking, sound problem-solving ability, and confident communication skills.
What We Expect of You, Day To Day:
- Elicit and document business requirements from stakeholders across projects, mandates, and ad hoc change requests
- Author user stories and acceptance criteria
- Produce functional and non-functional specifications
- Complete requirements traceability matrices
- Design and document process flows (BPMN, swimlane diagrams, etc.)
- Conduct As-Is and To-Be analysis to identify gaps and opportunities
- Analyse business processes to identify pain points and deliver practical, well-reasoned solutions
- Build and present business cases for proposed solutions
- Lead engagement between technology and business teams, driving agreement on the best solutions and managing communications across both areas
- Conduct data analysis to inform decision-making and prioritisation
- Develop and maintain business tools such as ROI calculators to strengthen business case development
- Lead meetings and workshops to define project scope and objectives
- Build reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices
- Lead UAT activities, delivering demos and technical guidance to stakeholders
- Deliver training on new systems and processes where required
- Produce process documentation and training materials that enable business users to build analytical capabilities independently, with BA oversight ensuring quality and consistency
- Drive the development of team members through training and mentorship in business analysis techniques and best practices
Qualifications
- Commercial experience, ideally within the payments industry or broader banking, financial services, or fintech environment
- 3+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in business analysis tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Visio
- Clear, confident communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to engage and influence cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to use data to drive recommendations and prioritisation
