About the job:
Kent is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Aberdeen Structures Team within our UK Consulting business. Our Aberdeen Structures Team provides a broad range of services across our Oil & Gas and Offshore Wind markets. We are the ‘go to’ company for complex problems in design, engineering, integrity management, structural analysis, life extension, and ultimately decommissioning.
Our structural teams work on some of the most exciting and varied projects in the offshore sector. This role provides opportunities to work across our structural offshore services, including integrity, design, analysis and decommissioning. Flexibility is key, with a varied work pipeline across our Oil & Gas and Offshore Wind markets. This is a fantastic opportunity to broaden horizons and engage with local clients, while enhancing current skillsets.
Skills & Responsibilities:

This is a broad-ranging role across Oil& Gas and Offshore Wind projects.

Guide and mentor junior engineers, supporting their technical and professional development.

Undertake both assessment of existing offshore assets and new design projects, depending on business needs; work will range from hand calculations to linear and non-linear finite element analysis.

Collaboratewith colleagues to identify, develop, and implement new technical methodologies.

Build,communicate, andmaintain effectiveclient relationships, including leading client facing conversations and delivering presentations of project work.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
- Engineering degree with honors or equivalent in Civil, Mechanical, orStructural engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.

Ideally Chartered (ICE, IMechE, IStructE etc), or actively working towards chartership.

Knowledge ofoffshore structural engineering andrelevant offshore design codes.

Demonstrable experience of core competence for Senior Engineer level in at least one area for offshore structures (Oil & Gas and/or Offshore Wind) 1) structural integrity management 2) structural analysis 3)structural design 4) decommissioning.
Communication:

Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.
