Assistant Manager, The Fox Excel
Royal Docks, East London | Full time | Competitive salary + tips

The Fox Excel is an independently run, family owned venue set inside a Grade II listed former tobacco warehouse, right next to ExCeL London. With 1,200 capacity across five distinct hireable spaces and a strong restaurant offering, we're looking for an Assistant Manager to lead day to day floor operations, with a particular focus on driving our food and restaurant service.

What you'll be doing

Leading the floor team across bar and restaurant service.
Driving the restaurant side specifically: covers, service pace, upselling, and guest experience, working closely with the kitchen team on execution.
Overseeing bar operations, stock control, and service standards.
Training and developing staff, and holding the team to a consistent standard.
Supporting online review management and reputation.
Getting hands on across every part of the operation day to day.

What we're looking for

Proven experience in bar or restaurant management, ideally within a pub or high volume hospitality setting with a strong food offering.
A personal licence and/or food hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain one).
A natural leader, calm under pressure, comfortable in a fast paced environment.
Genuine interest in hospitality and people, backed by a track record, not just enthusiasm.

Location and access

Royal Docks, East London. Elizabeth Line and DLR both close by, with free on site parking.
