Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional organisational skills, and a proven track record in management roles within social housing or registered housing association. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a diverse team, optimise operational efficiency, and contribute to the organisation’s strategic growth.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise daily operations to ensure seamless business functioning.
Line manage the operational team
Oversee retail management activities, including merchandising, stock control, and sales strategies.
Develop and implement sales management initiatives to meet organisational targets.
Coordinate with various departments to streamline processes and improve operational workflows.
Maintain excellent communication with staff, residents, and stakeholders through professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
Oversee the onboarding of new properties and portfolios
Lead on the onboarding of new managing agents and act as key relationship manager to all managing agents
Oversee administrative tasks such as reporting, record keeping, and compliance with company procedures.
Provide leadership during organisational changes or project implementations, ensuring smooth transitions.
Analyse performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Prepare high level Board level Operations report covering new business, asset managment and tenancy management.

Requirements

Proven experience in management roles within social housing or within a registered housing association environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and time management.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written; proficiency in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are highly advantageous.
Experience working in regulated sectors.
Demonstrated ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative team environment.
Strong organisational skills with the capacity to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
Good phone etiquette coupled with professional interpersonal skills.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in management or related fields are desirable but not mandatory.

This role is ideal for a proactive leader eager to make a significant impact within our organisation by driving operational excellence and team success.

Pay: £65,000.00 per year
