About Daffodils Fostering

Daffodils Fostering Ltd is an independent fostering agency committed to providing safe, nurturing and stable family placements for children and young people. Working in partnership with local authorities and other professionals, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality fostering services that achieve positive outcomes for children and foster carers.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Regulatory & Compliance Officer to lead and oversee regulatory compliance, governance and quality assurance across the organisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, Ofsted requirements, safeguarding standards and organisational policies while promoting continuous service improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor compliance with fostering legislation, regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Support the organisation in maintaining Ofsted compliance and inspection readiness.
Conduct internal compliance audits and quality assurance reviews.
Review, develop and implement organisational policies and procedures.
Monitor safeguarding, data protection and regulatory compliance across the service.
Investigate compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
Produce compliance reports, risk assessments and management information for senior leadership.
Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation.
Deliver compliance guidance and training to staff and foster carers where appropriate.
Work collaboratively with managers, social workers and external agencies to ensure high standards of governance and regulatory compliance.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.

Essential Requirements

Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant discipline.
Experience working within a regulated social care, fostering, children's services or healthcare environment.
Sound knowledge of UK regulatory compliance, safeguarding and governance.
Experience conducting audits, monitoring compliance and implementing quality improvement initiatives.
Excellent report writing, organisational and analytical skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable

Knowledge of fostering regulations, National Minimum Standards and Ofsted inspection frameworks.
Experience developing organisational policies and procedures.
Professional qualification in compliance, governance or quality management.
