Trainee Chef / Commis Crêpier (Willing to Learn & Progress)

Position: Trainee Chef / Commis Crêpier

Location: Bute Street, South Kensington

Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Have you always wanted to work in a professional kitchen but lacked the years of experience? Are you looking for a place that will actually invest time in training you?

Suzette, located in the heart of South Kensington’s bustling "Little French Quarter," is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Trainee Chef who is serious about learning the culinary trade and progressing into a skilled Chef/Crêpier.

We work in a fully open kitchen, so you don't need a massive CV—just a fantastic work ethic, a polished presentation, and a genuine passion to learn. We will teach you the rest!

What You’ll Learn & Do

Master a Skill: Learn the traditional French art of preparing and cooking authentic buckwheat galettes and sweet crêpes on professional griddles.
Kitchen Basics: Learn correct food preparation (mise en place), ingredient storage, and portion control.
Food Safety Standards: Get hands-on training in basic food hygiene, safe food handling, and kitchen health standards.
Open Kitchen Service: Work closely with our senior team in a clean, front-facing kitchen, learning how to stay calm and organised under pressure.
