Duties
- Operate various types of cranes, including tower cranes, mobile cranes, or overhead cranes, to lift and move heavy loads with precision.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, or storage areas using appropriate crane techniques.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of crane equipment to ensure safety and functionality before each shift.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff, construction teams, or logistics personnel to plan lifting operations effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and crane usage within warehouse management systems or logs.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents during lifting operations.
- Assist with materials handling tasks such as securing loads, rigging, or mechanical adjustments as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience operating cranes in construction, warehouse, or industrial environments.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory movements.
- Mechanical knowledge related to crane components, rigging equipment, and load stability principles.
- Hands-on experience with forklift operation is a plus for versatile materials handling capabilities.
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures and heavy lifting techniques.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to crane operation and materials handling regulations.
- Previous experience working in construction sites or warehouses with a focus on load & unload activities.
