Atkins Highway Services are proud to have been awarded the Area 6 Managing Agent Contract (MAC) by the Highways Agency. This is the first single service MAC to be awarded and the contract commenced on the 1st of June 2008 for 5 years with an option to extend to a total of 7 years. The Highways Agency Area 6 covers all the Strategic trunk roads within East Anglia i.e. Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. The work involves all Routine, Cyclic and Winter Maintenance within the Area 6 Network and the design and construction of works up to £500k in value. In addition the design and supervision of larger framework schemes for the Highways Agency will also be undertaken through the Atkins Area 6 team.
