My main function with EMCOR is to actively design and deliver innovative solutions that, drive change, add value, improve service and manage risk across the contract.
My Key aspect of my role consists of that all statutory and regulatory Health and Safety requirements for operations activities are met with in the contract.
I proactively ensure with constant collaboration within the management team that services are delivered to customers that meet or exceed agreed service levels. I proactively collaborate and motivate operations and maintenance contractors in support of SLA delivery.
I constantly monitor operations issues and incidents on a 24x7 basis, where necessary assuming full line control from an engineering and customer interface perspective at time of incidents.
One of the key aspects of my task is to maintain relationships, with the client, suppliers and contractors, including technical, soft facility services, and local contacts of corporate purchasing arrangements.
I also develop and coach team members as appropriate, including participation in scenario based drills.
We also collaborate within our team that we comply with company policies, standards and processes, including maintenance of existing or securing of new ISO certifications, whilst establishing and reviewing a Business Continuity Plan following corporate and local business continuity planning requirements.

The job and guys on my level as a whole were ok. But as per most of the reviews on here. All let down by the managment. Your manager at any level would throw you under a bus to save themselves. Which happened to me. 
The only chance of progression depends on how much the managment like you. Do all the hours and more do all the jobs and more to help the company. But it means nothing to them. They constantly attend back slapping events and pick up awards. While the guys n gals on the ground are treated like lepers. 
The 3 yrs i was there on various sites. The right faces were getting promoted and pay increases whilst having absolutely no exp of the role. 
Managment back stabbing and bullying is rife throughout EMCOR. One site in particular in Speke the managment from top to bottom was filled with 1 family and the inlaws. 
The main guy married a cleaner who was promoted to PA then the rest of the inlaws took all of the managment/supervisor roles. Thats endemic through out the Company. Rotten to the core. SHAME

Bury st edmunds location is an absolute joke, you get treated like dirt, rubbish PPE, Emcor rant on about health and safety but dont practice it as they expect you to work with faulty equipment, management is terrible and do not care about workers until they get hurt or sustain an injury and even only then they get involved only to cover themselves.

Favourtism runs rampant and if you are not on the list you will get all the worst jobs, you will get spied on, if you have a complaint it will fall upon deaf ears unless you take it to the facilities manager, they are not interested in helping you.

No chance for progression, you do get trained up on certain equipment like mewps but you dont receive any pay increment and the base rate of pay is rubbish anyway so there is no real incentive, overtime is always paid late or wrongly. The amount of gossip, drama and backstabbing combined with Emcors own faults makes this job terrible. I would never work here ever again and feel sorry for the next poor soul that takes a job there.

Be warned.

If you can get a word with the non exciting managers then you might get somewhere but working for this company for nearly 5 years it has got worse and worse as time goes on. Currently working on the NATS contract this place is the worst it has ever been. they will throw you under the bus as soon as they are threatened in anyway shape or form. If you consider working for this company I would take a quick look into all the previous reviews before hand. 

Under staffed, over worked, lack of pay and the office staff get better perks than any of the qualified sparky or plumber. How an admin assistant can earn £25k a year I don't know. the culture here is miserable and the hardest part is the never ending job spec. the fact they left their security staff standing outside in the rain and freezing conditions weather for months because their admin was disgusting.

It seems that all the office staff and management can discuss how to run a department and tell the spineless department managers how to run things.

I enjoyed the various roles.
I worked with the Labour Manager and Construction Manger.
I would take charge of their meetings and diaries enabling them to have lunch breaks.
Meeting Notes typed and sent to the various directors.
Helping in reception to enable the receptionist to have lunch and comfort breaks.
Assisted the surveyors and product mangers with management of the spreadsheets and presentations.
Organsing meeting venues.
The hardest part of the job was making sure all the tasks were completed for the day. Arranging and re arranging the diaries.

The company were abrilliant company to work for.  They were involved in manyconstruction proects to update Birmingham Center to become the European capital for shopping.  They would also help with any issues arrising when the constructions were finished.  They had great wor ethics and I felt like a useful member of the team.

Cliques in the Senior Management Team and obstructive rivalry between the two operating divisions, hamper individuals growth and career progression. Decisions taken by a very small elite group to suit their own positions rather than for the betterment of the organisation as a whole, Too many senior managers not given a chance to manage and be judged purely on results and performance.
A lot of infighting by the 2 executive Directors means that the 2 divisions do not work collaboratively or in partnership and leads to an adversarial attitude by operational teams.
Weak exec board do not get involved in operational day to day and 
therefore the clique has developed to run things without adequate corporate scrutiny.
EMCOR culture and values very good, as is the the salary & remuneration package for senior managers.and their are a number of good, talented employees, but who are hampered by the SMT.

Started as a data entry clerk for 3 weeks and asked to stay in a part time role.  I took on many different key roles in the office and enjoyed learning all the different elements. I was given a lot of responsibility as the manager left and was not replaced. Morale started to sink and many changes occurred in the company. Which made things harder for us as a team. My colleague was given a huge amount of responsibility and found it hard to cope which in turn had a knock on effect within our team. The pressure from the client, (Cardiff Airport) and the management based in other parts of the UK was immense. The most enjoyable part of the job was everything I learned and having great relationships with the technicians and the client. I was extremely lucky to have had the experience.

So I worked for Emcor uk British Sugar Cantley , Started of good work good friends can’t say nothing bad at all managers jst left us to get on with our work 👍9 months has passed then 2 months ago they came up with and idea that they wanted to change our contract and add more job rolls to it with out a pay rise nothing they said sign it or we would get fired then rehired on the new contract ?! So my job was security/ weigh Bridgend that’s it n that wanted to add when not busy we had to go do some painting grass cutting doing fire watch for other without a pay rise to don’t think so . I’m security if I wanted to paint I’d be a painter or grass cutter so yes they can fire me as a dint sign the new contract and left for better role with better company for the 5 other who work there hope they all leave n then they’d be in the 

worked for this company for just over 17 , all the time with them not once did you get a thank you or good job from them, even during COVID when we was still working.never had equipment  or PPE provided the only reason for stayed was the money was good and the lads i worked with,the management on the other hand didn't have a clue and changed more often than the wind.it was one of the places if your face don't fit or if not family they will try eveything in their power to get rid thats  why for first time in my working life i and others on the shop floor joined a union to help with the stress of always looking over ya shoulder.i know other site might be different but this one was not a happy place for alot of people which is is sad because the people and the client was amazing to work with just the stuck up managers/supervisors who are all related ans dont have a clue how to run things.

Worked for emcor for 15 months my work colleagues were great and we tried to all work together. Client resources manager was a bully and complaints were made up and emcor would go against their staff. There was no training, no risk assessments, no praise for good work, if someone was ill or on annual leave you were expected to do your job and other people's, with no support or extra time to carry the job out properly. Manager we saw once every few months, mobile supervisor brought his family to work with us, they were lazy had days off when the felt like it, supervisor knew absolutely nothing about the job or the site just sat round drinking coffee and hiding in the clean ing cupboard why the staff did all the work. Never worked for a company who don't care about their staff or staff safety at work
