I have worked with the company for almost a year now and the fast paced nature of the company (being fairly new and growing quickly), it is exciting to see what the next year and beyond have in store. 

I was the first in-house member of the design team and my role has been tweaked along the way to not only suit my strengths, but also enable career & personal progression/ learning along the way. Initially my line managers were the CEO and COO and they've given me nothing but support and positive feedback in my work and ability! Now, at the time of this review, I work with two other design team members - Marketing director (my new line manager) and a Marketing Coordinator. This has been brilliant to not only enable me to focus on the things I am better at, but ones I also enjoy a lot more. 

After multiple meetings, hearing and being involved in discussions, it is clear that there are vast career progression opportunities within Latus. Progression is proven and evident when looking at some of the longer standing staff members. I think it is a company (like most) want you to work hard, but will reward you for doing so. 

When I started working here, I was also doing freelance videography/photography that I had already pre booked shoots for, that ran right the way through the year. A variety of shoots were evening, weekend and some even conflicted with my new working days. I was able to take these as unpaid leave or holiday days, so they have been very accommodating. The freelance work is something that I have reigned back, but I am still able to do providing there isn't a conflict of interest, which is completely understandable.

The company also offer 5 paid 'give back days' - the idea being that you do a charitable thing and Latus will pay you your days wage for taking time to do so. You could opt for all kinds of things e.g. help out at a soup kitchen, organise a beach clean up, or raise money for a charity.

Finally, the quarterly updates for the company are a great way to mix with other members of staff that you might not usually get chance to. We will often get a little company overview of how the company and staff have been doing, before getting involved in some games, activities, food and drinks (you can even see a couple of these on the YouTube channel).


Cons are few and far between in comparison to the positives and when considered logically, I am being very nit-picky to add this.

You can't carry over holidays from year to year
 However, when you realise Latus is providing health services across the country, and peoples health (and even lives) rely on our service, they can't have clinicians all taking big chunks of a year off. If all the clinicians carried over a weeks holiday an, I can only imagine how big the negative impact that would be on the client.

Working at Latus Group since November has been a genuinely rewarding experience. A typical day at work is fast-paced and varied, often involving cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, and meaningful contributions to projects that have a real-world impact on workplace health. Each day brings new challenges, but also the opportunity to learn and grow.

One of the key things I’ve learned during my time here is how to navigate and lead within a dynamic, mission-driven environment. I’ve developed a deeper understanding of occupational health and the intricacies of delivering digital health solutions at scale. The experience has also sharpened my skills in stakeholder management, product strategy, and prioritisation.

Management at Latus Group is both supportive and empowering. Leadership is approachable and open to ideas, and there is a genuine effort to align individual development with company goals. Feedback is constructive, and there’s a shared sense of purpose that makes the work feel important.

The workplace culture is ambitious, curious, and values-driven. People take ownership of their work and are encouraged to innovate, which creates a culture where high standards are balanced with a strong sense of camaraderie and mutual respect. It’s a place where you can bring your whole self to work and feel like you're making a difference.

The hardest part of the job is the pace and scale of the work, things move quickly, and priorities can shift based on evolving business needs. It requires adaptability and strong time management, but it’s also what makes the work exciting and engaging.

The most enjoyable part of the job is seeing the tangible impact of the work we do, whether it’s improving systems for clinicians or enhancing the experience for service users. Being part of a team that’s innovating in occupational health and delivering real value to clients and users alike is incredibly fulfilling.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
LATUS Group presents itself as a health-focused organisation, but there is limited regard shown for staff wellbeing in practice. Technicians, who form the backbone of the business, are often expected to cancel personal commitments at short notice to meet operational demands. Work–life balance is poor, and flexibility tends to operate in one direction.

Clinic allocations can lack logical geographical planning, with clinicians regularly assigned outside their regions despite a large team being available. Last-minute changes are common, and there is significant pressure to cover clinics even when it involves unreasonable travel. Declining such requests can feel discouraged.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Communication from management is inconsistent, and there appears to be a blame-focused culture rather than a solutions-focused one. Processes and expectations can change without clear explanation. While the company promotes strong values externally, the internal culture does not always reflect this.

Overall, morale is low, and the working environment can feel unsupportive and reactive rather than structured and well-managed.

Advice to Management
Prioritise staff wellbeing in practice, not just in branding. Improve geographical planning, support work–life balance, and create a culture of accountability and constructive communication rather than blame.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Unorganised, long and stress inducing.

I've worked at ELAS for 6 years, I've held a wide range of roles having begun typing out invoices all those years ago. I've always felt looked after both from the previous owners and the current, there's always been opportunities for progression throughout the business and it's been a pleasure to see individuals grow throughout that time.

The business is always growing and under the new regime the changes have all been fast and positive, with a larger group behind us this will only strengthen the company. The director is extremely approachable which I haven't had in previous companies and is instilling an environment where employees can thrive.

You get your birthdays as holiday and the Simply Health plan has been great for me, I've had a couple of pairs of glasses and sunglasses a year as well as dental and physio for example once I injured myself and the company supported me and I got the physio I needed to recover.

The final point and perhaps most important is the people, I can say I've genuinely enjoyed working with every person I've had interactions with here and I don't think I'd have stayed for so long without that.

Working at Latus Group was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. The workplace is far from cultured and lacks any real diversity. The environment is unprofessional, cliquey, and unsupportive. From day one, the training was poor—nothing was explained in proper depth, which naturally led to issues down the line. Instead of addressing these gaps, management blamed the staff.
The Leicester branch in particular is very close-knit, but to the point of being unprofessional and exclusive. There’s a culture of unfairness, with managers having one rule for themselves and another for everyone else. Support is practically nonexistent, but they’re quick to pile more work on you and expect you to just figure it out.
Holiday allowance is terrible, and the pay is far too low for the workload and responsibility expected. There’s no real understanding, flexibility, or leniency within the role, and professionalism is seriously lacking across the board.
Overall, I would not recommend working here. From poor management to unfair practices and questionable ways of dealing with clients, this company is not a place that values its people.

When working for this company was initially told 6 weeks training. Which led to nearly 3 months. Was told that I would be local to my area which would include some nights working away. What they should of said you will be working away most weeks and if you have any family commitments, this isn't the job for you!! Rosters get done months in advance and you think that can work around that to have a social life out of working hours Don't make plans in advance as they are changed without any notification and working the clinics is Peritus top priority not YOU or your social life!!

You are put up in the cheapest of hotels or air bnb's for staying away. Sometimes not local to site and you drive a 3.5 ton van with a 11 foot height restriction. Which is not ideal for limited parking spaces in hotels grounds.

Work load is stressful and not explained sufficiently this is not audited till months later, so if errors have been made and health certificate have been issued. You will be reprimanded and there will be repercussions or even sacked for being incompetent. 

I was disappointed by my experience with this company, particularly around staff welfare and data handling. During my time there, I felt employee wellbeing was not prioritised, especially when raising legitimate safety concerns. Decisions appeared rushed and lacked transparency, which left me feeling unsupported rather than guided.

I also had concerns about how sensitive personal information was handled. Processes around confidential data were unclear, and communication regarding checks and records felt poorly managed. This raised questions for me about whether information was being treated with the care and sensitivity you would expect, particularly given the nature of the work.

Overall, the culture felt risk-averse in a way that placed pressure on individuals rather than encouraging open discussion or support. I believe the company would benefit from clearer policies, better communication, and a stronger focus on staff welfare and data protection practices.

Stay away from this company! Where do I start. 
Extremely poor management, no welfare for staff, sent miles away for very little work, overtime a joke to even claim for, still waiting to be paid expenses which clearly doesn’t look like I am getting back! Told to use own car when not contacted to and for 35p per mile. When spoke about business insurance was told I needed else I wouldn’t be paid if can’t get to sites. When they need you go somewhere and you don’t have a car they can magic one up!! No working equipment, always broken and never fixed or replaced. Latus only care about money and not staff, no bonus, pay rise for quality of work provided. Zero benefits for working for latus, you’re treated like a robot not a human being. Incorrect training provided and no progression. If your looking for a deadend job with no progression and like to work like a Robot then this is prefect. Other than that stay away from this company! 


Typical day at work involves following recruitment processes for an open roles and liaising with any hiring managers for filtering applications, scheduling interviews and onboarding. Coming from an agency recruiter background I have learnt a completely different side of recruitment from an internal perspective and various processes. Management are very approachable, hands on and always take the time. Workplace culture is very welcoming and friendly. Hardest part of the job was learning the new processes as it was different to what I was personally used to. My most enjoyable part of the job is speaking with different people internally and externally knowing they were happy with the work I’ve put in to help the company with all recruitment.
