Been employed via Mach Recruitment from November 2017-January 2018 at Burton site and for 4 days at the end of March 2018 at Swadlincote site.

BURTON - Not so much about Mach as they haven't done as much wrong whilst working there, more to do with my line manager. Always doing the same thing everyday, which was picking. During my employment there, I was putting stock on the shelves 10% of the time whilst the remaining was all picking, no other opportunity to put me on a different job. When people start working here, they usually start on picking then move to another area a few days later. I'm usually the sort of person that normally gets on with the job 100%, however I was really bored of doing the same thing everyday. I tried to reason with my line manager about this and she kept on ignoring my requests and wanted me to stay on picking. Before I left, I eventually told Mach about why I wanted to leave, although I tried to sum it up as positively as I could as I've lost weight there and highlighted that I needed to do more than one thing. Only positive thing about this was the 4 days on, 4 days off rota 12 hour shifts so you knew immediately when you were going to be in during the year.

SWADLINCOTE - This one is more about the wrongs of Mach. Job wasn't too bad, I was doing various things which was much better than Burton. However, I applied for 12 hour shifts hoping that I would get the 4 days on 4 days off consecutive rota like I did at Burton and the overtime rate and chances of getting it would be high. Got to the interview and they told me that 12 hour shifts are no longer available so had to choose a selection of 8 hour shifts to do for 5 days a week. I took the afternoon shift (2pm-10pm) as one was too early and the other was too late so this shift suited my needs. Started there and although I had direct bus travel from Derby to about 1 hour and 15 mins. The journey there wasn't too bad, it was the journey back home that had the final straw. I told Mach that I needed to finish a bit earlier (9:45pm) so that I had enough time to get to my bus which was at 10:05pm just until I could find a lift. My supervisor told me that I had no chance so I had to wait until 11:05pm for the last bus. The only good thing about waiting for the bus is that Wetherspoons was at the bus station and I can eat a decent meal before I got on the bus, but I didn't want to keep paying for a meal every night after my shift as I would rather go home and do that! I didn't get home until 12:15am the following morning and although I do have a nice lay in and wake up at 10:00am, I realised that I wasn't having enough time at home. Had to give in my notice on the 4th day of working there and explained these problems to my line manager, which they understood.

Working at XYZ Clothing Company has been a remarkable experience that has not only broadened my professional horizons but also provided me with a sense of fulfillment and camaraderie. I recently experienced a situation where I did not receive holiday pay, and I must admit that I was quite disappointed with this policy. As an employee, I believe that holiday pay is an essential benefit that recognizes and compensates for the extra time and effort we put into working on holidays.

One of the main reasons I was drawn to this company was the reputation for fair compensation and employee benefits. However, the absence of holiday pay not only contradicted that perception but also left me feeling undervalued and unappreciated.

Holiday pay serves as a recognition of the sacrifices employees make when they choose to work during special occasions. It is not just about the financial aspect; it is about acknowledging the effort and dedication that employees contribute to the company's success, even when most people are enjoying their time off with loved ones.

Without holiday pay, it feels as if the company fails to recognize the importance of work-life balance and the impact it has on employee morale. It's disheartening to see colleagues and friends in other organizations being rewarded for their commitment during holidays, while here, the efforts go unnoticed.

Moreover, the absence of holiday pay can also lead to increased stress and burnout among employees. When we are not adequately compensated for working on holidays, it becomes challenging to justify the sacrifices we make and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

While I understand that companies have their reasons for implementing certain policies, I would strongly encourage management to reconsider the lack of holiday pay. Recognizing and appreciating the efforts of employees during these special times would not only boost morale but also foster a more positive and engaged workforce.

In conclusion, the absence of holiday pay has left me feeling undervalued and disappointed. I believe that implementing a fair and transparent holiday pay policy would not only benefit employees but also contribute to a more positive work environment. It is my hope that the company will take this feedback into consideration and prioritize the well-being and satisfaction of its employees in the future.

Please please Aviod working here like the other reviewer said they don’t deserve you. They treat you like a slave the environment does feel like a prison. You have to deal with constant disrespect and harassment. This place will leave you emotionality, physically, and mentally exhausted.

The management most of the “champions” and team leaders can't string two words of English together so You won’t be trained well.
you will  you continuously worry that you are not doing it right.  If you make a mistake they will bark at you like a mad dog.

They have no respect for the workers (unless you are Eastern European) 
The champions, Team leaders and some of the workers also have full blown conversations in their own Eastern European languages in front of you it’s very rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. 

There definitely is a racial/ cultural bias at play over there. If you are not Eastern European you have to work twice as hard 
they will treat you like trash because you are not “one of them”. good work is given to friends and those with shared background.

But one can only suppress the truth for so long before it explodes

They have the nerve to set “Targets” without necessary equipment.
I worked there full time I was weighed down with stress, tiredness, sadness, and overall emotional drain. 

When I left I felt like 100 pounds was lifted of my chest. I felt total relief 
And liberation I had control over my life.
it was the best feeling ever. 

No you won’t get paid enough for 
the horror you have to deal with and see everyday. The truth is, your mental health, physical health and emotional health is worth much more.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS, This place is horrid to work for. You get overtime put straight on your rota without being asked, which would either be an 11hr shift or a 6th day working. Made to stay late 9/10 nights if you work in chill.You only get a 1 week rota even if you have been there months. They promised me bonuses just after they took over the previous agency, that never got paid after going to them about EVERY week for 6 months! I also had wages and  overtime go missing to. The management is terrible, cannot comunicate between one another and if you need to get ahold of them good luck i had to call up 7 times before getting an answer for my p45 and i only got an answer because i had used someone elses phone. i had waited a further 8 weeks for my p45 to come through and when i phoned head office they couldnt even say when it got sent (if it even was sent). You'll also get a 'Friendly' reminder text of your shift every day, this would come around 6.30am. This was very annoying. The people running this site need to be replaced as they cant even spell accuracy right on a poster and when mentioned it got ignored. Seems like they are out against you from day 1.

Having said that the job isnt that bad, the sainsburys staff are nice and co-workers are great to work with, It is very repetitive but its easy to get used to. Its MACH that is the problem on this site

The wage is allright but the expectation and the robot working environment is not for everyone. It was quite an easy interview and got the job straight away. Managers are too stressed and pouring their frustration on employees. Not so much training given to use the watch they say enter but its P3 sometimes you must Relocate pallets. They expect you to ask but the lady who was training us was also woking so I believe it was frustraiting for her. Not good if you are a smoker takes 10 minutes to go out have a smoke. You get only 30mins brake and another  2 10 mins you get too cold. If you make a mistake or if you have a personal life I will not really advise to get this job. But hey that's me. Having any other issues in the first week of training you get sacked straight away. I applyed for part-time and they told me I must complete a full time week before going part time. It was a bit odd. The managers speak like they are paying you from their pocket. Do not really have any interest in keeping their staff because alot of people come and go every day. This was my first job working in a warehouse and I did not enjoy it. 
If you like to sit in the cold and run 8 miles a day then that's the job for you. Good luck

This job had a very unfriendly atmosphere and an overall feel of oppression. Me and other colleagues were 'let go' on false pretences on multiple occasions, all after a similar time period of working with the company. It seems to me and others that this company relies on a fast turn over of young workers inorder to keep the costs down. This is also evident by the lack of training. This company seems to thrive from chaos and misunderstanding, giving them an excuse to sack you just before you've been there long enough to earn workers rights and pension. During my time with Mach recruitment, me and several others were exposed to white and black mould with no PPE (personal protective equipment). During this task we were told to scrub mould from products and put them back in the box to "dry off" ready to sell. 

Overall the management is terrible, the environment is unwelcoming and it is a terrible place to work. As it is with most companies, there are some lovely staff and workers but unfortunately this does not out-weigh the attitudes of management. 

Refrain from signing up to Charlton branch as regardless of being surprising punctual from our initial conversation inviting myself to register at the Charlton branch as well as having all the required registration documents as completing there hour long application and assesment on there tablet. You might be lied to about a job start date and wait for weeks without getting a response regarding the job role, the only contact I had with MACH recruitment Charlton branch is when I received a text at half 8pm about nonsense (not concerning job role) as another time when I called themselves to ask to be taking off there books as I found a better paid job  with another company within a week of the initial registration; a initial registration which I regret traveling 20 min to there agency site. Be prepared to see two eastern European males and their female manager that is also European, I personally believe the Female wasn't to fond with myself, her loss she can have her job that she is recruiting for... P.S Mach is not the only company recruiting for there warehouse role.

Has anyone worked for mach at cml in magna park and had problems with them I can never get hold of anyone there I turned down jobs to work there as they told me it would be full time Monday to Friday the first week I worked Tuesday to Friday which was fine as I did my induction on the Monday but then the second week I turned up on the Monday and they told me I wasn't booked in to work and I shouldn't turn up if I don't get a text from them and then I only did 1 day that week and I got a pay slip for the week before and they only paid me 15 hours instead of 32 and I finally got hold of someone late Thursday afternoon and said they will look in to it I spent all day Friday chasing it up and got no response absolutely poor agency to work for and only seem to give work to people who speak the same language as they do in the agency as they are all foreign them selfs would not recommend this job to anyone unless you want to be messed around and treated like a foreigner in your own country and that is not racist I felt as if I was in a completely different country working there

After going through the application process for specific shifts 8am-8pm 4 days on 4 days off being told the day before starting that those shifts are no longer available and that i have to take another shift pattern 2.30pm-10.30pm mon- Friday (which is less hours) if I was to refuse I wouldn’t get any work at all as I’m not flexible enough for the agency. 
 The agency will let you go whenever suits them by making up ridiculous lies such as being told you disappeared for 10/15 mins when going to the toilet when you were gone for less than 5 and other staff were informed.
 The coordinators talk down to you like you’re a disposable unit as they know you have no employee rights working under an agency and any complaint you make will only be held within the agency and nothing will be done about it. 
Definitely would NOT recommend working for these people as they will just treat you like garbage and act like they’re doing you a favour.
