I was warned by a then employee of the business that this was an awful place to work and to read the reviews before I accepted the position. I wish now I had taken more notice of previous employees.
I read with interest the following comments;
Constant bullying if you face did not fit.
Treated like dirt.
Depressing place to work.
Back stabbing environment.
I reasoned that it couldn’t be that bad. I had other job offers but felt this was personally a good location to work. A huge mistake.
On my very first day I quickly realised that the reviews I had read and was advised, were as bad as suggested. I should have followed my instinct and left there and then.
A certain person can be only described as a narcissist, the definition is as follows.
1.	Insensitive to employees
2.	Uses you as an extension of their selfish agenda
3.	Spotlight hogger - like to hear themselves talk
4.	Reluctant to Give You Credit
5.	Steal or Take Disproportional Credit
6.	Break Rules and Ethical Norms
7.	Sensitive to Criticism. Blame Others for Failings
8.	Superior/Inferior Orientation
9.	Negative and Toxic Emotions
The constant nit picking, back stabbing left me very unhappy and unable to sleep at night, dreading going to work from the very first day.
The only time this was a reasonable place to work was when a certain person was not there. A dark cloud lifted and we all commented how much nicer it was when they were not there. One of my former colleagues had suggested they were bipolar. Bipolar and a narcissist, an interesting combination. I cannot think of one single person that actually liked this individual. Nice to their face of course.
I was witness to a member of staff constantly bullied, when I asked them why they put up with it their answer was they had a family and had to live with it. The only time this certain person was nice to this individual was if they wanted something and to manipulate them.
I have no doubt at all that this person will not last long in this position, you cannot hide your true self forever. You can fool some people some of the time but not everyone all of the time.
I would recommend sleeping on a park bench and eating from a bin rather than being employed here.
As a final insult I received my final wage slip and was completely unsurprised that I was underpaid by over £200.00. Having said that it was well worth the money never to go back. 
As a summary this the most toxic, back stabbing atmosphere it has been my displeasure to endure.

A typical day working at Nationwide Crash Repair Centre would consist of : Checking emails, preparing paperwork for updating customers, phoning customers with updates, carrying out any estimates as required, helping to cover reception as and when required, collecting and delivering customer vehicles.

I learned that even the biggest of organisations and companies can still feel like working in a small family business.

I was very lucky during my time spent at the company, the Management team were so approachable and supportive.  They also encouraged you when you weren't quite sure of some instead of being very critical.

I formed some very strong working relationships with the majority of my co-workers.

I would say that the hardest part of my role at the company would have to be keeping all of the customers happy.

The most enjoyable part of my role at the company would  have to be people interaction, especially the customers and co-workers.  I also enjoyed the challenge of trying to keep customers happy.  I feel I did my very best at all times.

I have worked for Nationwide for nearly three years. They pay you on time and expect you to do what you are paid for - who wouldn't?

Most certainly the company has improved during my time here. As with all companies, procedures need to be aligned and improved and some employees do struggle with this.

The company is doing all it can to improve the culture and working environment for everyone. Nothings perfect, and we simply need to give the time needed to see the benefit of these changes, which I am confident will bear fruit in time.

Join with an open mind and willingness to change with the times. 

Nationwide are no different to any other large employer - the car repair industry is changing with ever improving technology; we need to keep ahead of the game. The majority of our customers are very happy indeed with the work carried out on their vehicles - testament to the great workforce we have dealing direct with our customers and behind the scenes carrying out repairs.

Overall we have a good mix of people, and I for one enjoy working here.

Each day starts with in putting instructions on the in-house computer system for policy holders who have been involved in motor vehicle accidents. After contacting the policy holder and establishing the circumstances of the accident a date for collection is agreed  and a plan is set for the repair of the vehicle. Many policy holders are upset or miss informed about the procedure so tempers can become fraed but remaining calm and putting people at ease is an important part of the job along with regular contact to keep policy holders updated.I have often attended other sites to help train new members of staff which I find rewarding in the fact the the company trust my work standards to be repeated and taught to others.The difficult aspects of my employment are having to inform policy holders that the deadline set for them to receive their vehicles back will not be met due to a number of reasons and they become offensive but at the other end of the scale when we receive a letter from a policy holder thanking us for our help makes us smile that they took the time to write to us.

I did my time at Just Car Clinic for work experience as part of school meaning that I did not get a salary as it was only for two weeks not perminant.

A typical day at work consisted of many jobs including; managing files, answering phones, making business spreadsheets, making customer information booklets, adding customer information to business documents, sorting keys out for all the cars, sending letters, speaking with customers. What I learnt during my time at Just Car Clinic was how to approach customers more confidentlly and speak in a polite manner. I also learnt how you help them with what they needed. Work experience also taught me how to work better in a team and making sure tasks I had been given were finished successfully. I worked with both men and women during work experience and got along well with both, they were friendly and welcoming which boasted my confidence more. The hardest part of the job was going into a working environment as it was something I had never experienced before, however it was a really enjoyable experience as I met new people and learnt new skills.

I got taken on with relatively no experience of loading cars onto a transporter and I made this clear to the manager at interview. After about 3 days with another driver I was sent out alone to do a pickup.
 Whilst loading the car, one of the wheels came off completely and id had no prior warning and this was not evident on a walkaround inspection of the vehicle! As a result the car slipped off the ramp to the transporter ! 
  After phoning in, they sent a recovery truck to me and I drove the truck back to the depot to then get told it wasn't working out and I didn't need to come to work the next day. The manager did not tell me, another office worker did! 
  When i asked the manager what was going on he said theres "no such thing" as training to drive a car transporter and he needed someone who could do the job.
   Conclusion...… Awful management, poor equipment to work with, no proper training. Also, i was told only to give the customer copies of the appraisal "if asked " Dodgy !! If your face doesn't fit, forget it!

Recently left nationwide jcc as by far the worse place I have ever worked. Drivers are paid minimal wage to go to customers houses to pick vehicles up , detail damage, take licence and excess details, spend half an hr or more explaining how gd we are when we actually know the work we do is terrible. We are first and last person who are the face of this company picking up and delivering vehicle back but are treated like rubbish by estimators and staff and customers when work is awful , which was 90/95% of the time. Answer phones do paperwork and all the dog bodies jobs. Clean cars, clean garage and every other job they wanted. £7:50per hr as the face of nationwide. An absolute joke. No one who works at this particular branch likes the place and are always off sick as atmosphere is horrendous. 8 staff left before me as it was a horrendous place to work. Regional manager was a good guy to be fair. DO NOT WORK HERE !!!!

This is a great company to work for if your looking to have a miserable work life and be bullied/threatened into working 12 hour shifts whenever it gets busy. If you decide you have a social life ouside work and you don’t want to work from 7am-7pm you will be threatened with being sacked. They can do this whenever they feel like it as “it’s in your contract” as I was told but never seen. You’re also lucky if they give you 2-3 days notice that your hours are changing as I would normally just be told the day before the 12 hour shifts started. Also it’s very “fast paced” if that what your looking for, you’ll never stop and then maybe 1 day you’ll be having a bad day and you’ll get treated like dirt and all the hard work you’ve done is forgotten about. To summarise if you’re looking for a career you’d better look elsewhere, CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW BAD THIS COMPANY IS TO WORK FOR. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND DON’T APPLY !!!!!

Had the unfortunate experience of being a driver at Fareham, if you don't mind 4pm lunch breaks (if you're lucky) and being told you don't have time for a coffee between jobs (usually as someone is making one for themselves) then it's perfect for you. Expectations of what you can reasonably achieve in a day are set ridiculously high and you're expected to work over your contract hours if need be, with no backup as everyone else leaves on time. you could be broken down miles away and no one would be available to help. Management ignore you, overtime is just basic minimum wage, and if you have family and social commitments after work they just don't care. Basically you are bottom of the pile and everything is dumped on you if it goes wrong. The website will tell you all about the benefits of working for them but none are actually offered or mentioned to you. Do something else for someone else please!

as a recovery/collection driver, not only do you pick up customers cars from their houses but also from recovery yards around the north east.
you are expected to photograph vehicles, check for damage, complete paperwork, try to sell retail work, try to sell CDW so its not as simple as the area manager says it is. all this for a pittance of pay??? 
if you miss any thing then you are at fault and the company then tries to deduct money from your earnings. 
All the management are interested in is hitting their targets and then want to know why if you don't. So much for having great team skills and a caring management if only they existed, when you are working to tachograph laws then it would be great if anybody above the drivers actually knew how they worked, this led to lots of confrontation.
 no wonder half of the work you do is RECALL work, that's because they don't fix the vehicles properly the first time.
