For Neighbourhood Officers-Induction needs to be improved, more face to face training on IT systems as 2 are used. Advice on what to schedule in each month as key acttivities would of been useful. The job is chaotic and the role very demanding and affecting a lot of officers with stress. No admin assisitants, so own admin inc letters/ tenancy sign ins, checks/end of tenancy inspections, fire safety checks, tenancy admin e.g succession/Joint to sole, ASB case load management and managing day to queries from customers that really should be dealt with by customer services! Too much workload and demand. 
Management have nice jobs/non facing customer teams have nice jobs -but the Neighbourhood Officers fulfil every housing related  issue on the front line. 
Utlimately, you have to be highly organised and very resilient-If you are neurodiverse  and /or experience mental ill health, be aware  this is a stressful, fast paced role ansd highly administrative role . Ask for Reasonable Adjustments if you have any disabilities. 

Staff are kind and helpful and there is a relaxed culture. 




Depending on role can be quite stressful.eg diaries with 10 jobs in a day impossible to do a good job , while you see voids workers have no diaries and are very relaxed and generally seem happier .Multiskilling has gone way to far affecting customers and quality of work , no one seems to be doing the trade that they are qualified in.Internal progression possible but can be quite corrupt with mates or family getting the jobs without the correct qualifications which is unfair for applicants outside the business.No consistency across the business regarding trades works one role can be micro managed to the limit others are left to own devices without any time restrictions.Mental health very poor on the gas side , constant staff turnover , people off sick.My advice apply for the voids team , easy life in comparison.

Really looked forward to starting BUT, I was given a van that wasn't checked off from the fleet department. I found the back was full of rubbish and materials I wouldn't use, it had no oil in it, no ad-blue, no diesel, no fuel card. I was given only a small portion of the tools I needed to do the job (you can't use your own). 

The pad I was given didn't have the software downloaded onto it and it was given to me without any charge (2%). Not helpful when you need to navigate the software on your induction.
Endless emails about training and signing into portals for courses you have to do. One being 'unconscious bias'. All well and good, but that doesn't broaden my knowledge of BS7671. 

Needless to say, the job wasn't for me.  


 


Unorganised and unrealistic targets set which you cannot manage. 
Management unhelpful and can't be bothered won't take any customer complaints and you have no progression in the job or learn anything. 
Favoritism at its finest and the actual job itself drains you and makes your home also miserable you stay as it just about pays the bills no team work or building rapport with customers and helping them as management unhelpful

The one thing good about workikg there is that you can work hybrid in some roles again make friends with management or be a relative and you will just be favoured 

Good points are you worked from home . wages were good. excellent life/work balance for working mums . that's good.
the management were nearly all women too so great opportunities for women here. Men were more like soldier bees at the coal face so they do the trades and grounds maintenance and property maintenance stuff.
Hardest part of the job was getting straight answers from management and the struggle the tenants are going through. Most enjoyable part of the job was the maternal pay and benefits.
The culture was you get told what to think and how to behave in the office but they don't tell you how to help the tenants.

Very comfy job everybody is really pleasant to work with brilliant management

Nothing at all really only thing that can get stressful is if the workload suddenly skyrockets but still not massively hard

Very pleasing everybody is very communicative and respectful job for life

Very pleasant the days go pretty easy

Platform looking from the outside in looks like a nice friendly place to work were they listen and look after u but working for them is further from the truth the mangers supervising is designed at u being a number not listened to slats related madness you’re mental heath will suffer the organisation is appalling  , the impact on the environment is something of a concern aswell there mismanagement of the jobs is shocking to sum up think very long and hard about working for them on a operative level 

Disgraceful management in new customers - no well being ,they only care about them selves. I’m actually embarrassed to say I work for them . Read the ratings they speak volumes ,they say there all about customers ,but as an insider they don’t care they just want there targets and figures to look good . They don’t care who they destroy in the meantime ,if your face doesn’t fit then they will do what they can to get you out . Plus the manager will do some digging on your past history and use it against you .

The wages are ok but could be better for the role I was doing. The

I didn’t enjoy it i found it very toxic.

No day is the same so much is expected from you in one day that it is impossible to ever finish tasks that you have started.

Was not trained properly on specialist software on tablet before commencement of work when assisting a work colleague.
Was not shown how to access electronic wage slip on tablet.

Management would not take responsibility just past the buck in making any decisions confusing attitudes in doing the job correctly.
