Progressed quickly though the company. Got the titles i deserved through promotions but little else to go with it. Getting handed more responsibility sounds great at first and they’ll promise you the word. But when you’re a senior figure running a branch and they are paying people with the branch you’re runnjng more pay even though they have less experience is a horrendous way to maintain a good culture within the office. Combine that with an area manager that will promise you vast amounts of support during your journey only to be in the office 5/6 times in the space of 10 months. They will never give you a pay rise unless you threaten to leave the company… and if you do.. you’ll be treated in such a poor way that you feel relieved when it’s finally time to go! 

You’ll just be another pawn in their game, being paid peanuts to make them £30m profit where you’ll be lucky to earn a basic greater than £25k at most and take home a small slice of commission. 

If you want to enjoy your life without being put under huge amounts of stress…. Stay away! 

Working as a Property Co-ordinator in one of the Support Centres means that you have a number of guaranteed patterns of work - either 8:30am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday, no weekend working or bank holidays. Which means you can plans to do things without worrying when your next day off with be. The group of people you work with will have your back and are all friendly and welcoming. The only downsides to the working for Sequence are; there are no local shop discount (I've been employed here is over a year and still not had anything) and it is minimum wage, even though they send emails about how much has been made the last Quarter/Year, and use the fact that the job is set Monday to Friday as the key factor in taking the role - you can increase your wage by completing the ARLA qualification, this boosts your wage £1000 'extra' for the current tax year (this is sold to you as a bonus, but when the Minimum/Living wage increases it eats in the 'extra' you get)

The job itself is actually quite enjoyable, the environment in the office is nice enough, you work alongside some great people and it's a great place for people to get a foot in the door for a career in lettings and property management however you are not financially compensated anywhere near as much as you should be for the work you're expected to put in. Your daily responsibilities will be the same as someone who earns 25k + doing the same job for another company. The high turnover shows that people really can't cope with the workload for such a tiny pay packet. This ultimately results in a worse service provided for the paying clients but the head office don't seem to want to know about that. Frustrating place to work but not without its merits.

It’s a secure job with pay but they work their employees to breaking point and have little to no concern for anything other than ‘improving customer experience’. When employees expressed concerns in training sessions (where we were told to ‘give every issue our total focus’ conveniently forgetting we usually had multiple processes to complete in a day, every single day, all while the phone needs answering each two seconds and you’re being paid less than £20k)

It’s a call centre and they treat their employees like animals. I feel sorry for tenants/landlords that had to deal with us.

There is a great chance to progress within the company if you hit targets and work hard!

You’re a staff number and not an individual. There is a lot of pressure on target and KPI’s and treated poorly when not performing. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Love the people I have worked with (in the office) however higher management do not give to hoots about you and only care if you bring them lots of money (but still will not remember your name)

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stress, stress and more stress

On a daily basis I am contacted by whatever means our clients want to use; phone, text, e-mail, letter. I manage their properties for them, give them advice on their legal position with their tenant, serve notices that are required to gain possession of the property back, draw up tenancy agreements and addendums.

I have learnt the importance of prioritisation of workload.

I enjoy working in an organised manner which itself aids the completion of daily tasks.


This is not really the field I want to work in, I would like to work in an environment more focused on legal work.

Awful place to work! The management have no regard for their staff, workplace bullying is a common occurrence and staff have left due to this. Not much progression as promotions are given to managers close friends within the office and family members. Managers would talk about the personal lives of staff members in senior meetings, laughing and making jokes at their expense. The role itself is good, the pay is low as you can gain your qualification through them, so for those who can switch off to office politics it’s a good stepping stone into property.

The other team members, although they leave too quickly

Pressure to hit targets and ensure buyers use the company’s mortgage men and solicitors

Poor, with no value placed upon staff

Stressful.  Targets must be met regardless

The people that make up to company are lovely, driven people and great to work with but shadowed by the culture of a corporate estate agency company. The hours are long with little ability to take a break through driven expectation so work life balance isn't great. 
However the opportunity to get promotion and work upwards is great, you can achieve more senior titles relatively simply.

You get out what you put in, there are no limits

Relationships but that’s personal and easily managed
