There is no typical day. This job would only be good as a 'top-up' wage. At times there is no work, and then a number of jobs come in at the same time. 
The pay is OK once you get into the routine of the job, as you get paid for longer than the jobs usually take.
My area manager is friendly, helpful, and supportive. 
The job itself varies: sometimes it involves building cardboard displays - FSDU's, at other times reorganising and stocking up gift cards. Straightforward, but a bit fiddly at times.
Usually you are given a week to complete a job, so it fits in with parents, shift workers, semi-retired people.

Avoid working for this company. If your face fits then you are in with management otherwise promotions and salary aren't reviewed regularly. Paying less than minimum wage to merchandisers and it's all smiles when they want something from you but you get no progression or attention..

Loved working at SIG, great colleagues, great products to work with, highly desirable. Good work life balance. Can be long hours during product launches, to be expected, when dealing with desirable brand. Day to day role includes, merchandising clients products within a retail setting, building relationships with store staff and managers.

Whilst merchandising I worked alone visiting large stores and small independent shops making sure all merchandise was up to date and owners were aware of regulations on the display and sales of various products

Standing on stands and selling gas and electricity, encouraging customers to change supplier. And look at their energy package. Confirming the sale and collecting bank details.
