I started work at 08.30 with a cheerful happy smile regardless. I was responsible for attending to all sales customers entering the building. I answered all incoming calls on very busy switchboard and transferred or dealt with them appropriately.
I filled and emptied dishwasher and made customers refreshments as and when required. I kept reception area clean tidy and well stocked with drinks and reading materials.
I opened and distributed incoming post.
I ordered business cards and stationery
Located a member of the sales team when customers entered building and made sure they were attended to immediately.
I spent lots of time taking messages and sending them on the internal email system.
Filed invoices
I had to email all Managers at the end of the day with the Daily Stock Report.

I have never worked in the motor industry before and what I did learn is that I do not want to work in this industry again.

The Management started off wonderful. But in a short time my Manager was Promoted to Head Office and because of cost cutting he was replaced by a part time Manager and others within the Company. This caused lots of stress and the team seemed to lose momentum.

I felt a little isolated from the sales team. It was very difficult at times to find one of them to help a customer. Some would hide if they had reached their target and this made my duties much more difficult.

The hardest part of the job was that the sales team would not help or assist because "it wasn't their job" They were told to help. We were supposed to be a team.  And that is what I missed very much. I also suffered in the winter with most of the doors open and it felt very cold

I enjoyed meeting the customers and making them welcome, I also enjoyed the knowledge that I had done my very best for each customer that I attended whether it be in person or on the telephone
Plus I do like to look smart at work and they provided a very nice uniform.

Each day would stat with a sales team meeting to confirm figures from the previous day and confirm appointments etc for the present day. The day would fly by as one appointment on average lasts 2hours, including meeting with the customers talking with them about the car they want and qualify them in terms of the right car and the right payment type. Taking them for a test drive in one or more car depending on their needs. Confirming figures and filling out all relevant pieces of paperwork. 

I Learnt time management skills as well as professionalism in the workplace, customer service, organisation, team work, independent working, working under pressure towards targets, as well as many more skills

The management team in this job were purely there to advise and help. The great part was, with this being the case everything was left up to the sales executives which is how I learnt so much.

My co-workers were a great help as I was the only female sales person in the company. They taught me how to deal with the pressure how to stay organised even when having hectic days and I picked up the Citygate way purely just by observing them. 

The Hardest part of the job was dealing with pressure when behind target. Having no days off and working late night in order to hit personal target.

The most enjoyable part of the job was that no two days were the same. Driving different cars daily, meeting people from all walks of life and being part of an amazing and hard working team.

Very excited to work for Volkswagen as my first automotive sales job - couldn’t wait to get started as I’ve wanted to be in the industry for years and Volkswagen gave me a chance. The reality has been incredibly disappointing.

The in-house training was woeful and the majority of the time you’re left to your own devices to deal with situations and questions you have absolutely no idea how to answer. Sales lost as I wasn’t taught how to deal with something, they will take upwards of a year to complete your training regardless of how long you’re told in your interview (another lie), no commission paid during training despite them pressuring you to sell, expected to survive on thin air in terms of a salary, and no company car either - both things we were misled about in interview.

The management is a clique - they will group together, become rude, sarcastic and will lie and bully. The way management treat you - belittling, ignoring, mocking you when you don’t know how to deal with something because you haven’t had the training they were supposed to give you, they speak to you like you’re worthless scum of the earth....the list goes on. Even the other staff will do anything to get ahead, including throwing others under the bus as the pressure is so great. I really expected more from such a prestigious brand and a retailer with such great reviews, but frankly it has put me off ever working for the Volkswagen group in the future. I’m sorry to say it but I made a very bad decision saying yes to their job offer. Avoid.

Communication with clients about vehicle problems, insurance questions, and warranty issues 
Maintaining positive relationships with clients to ensure repeat and return customers 
Approaching transactions with sales-minded professionalism and suggestively sell products and services to clients, including making clients aware of all packages and retail options available 
Answering customer questions about services, including when to expect vehicle repairs 
Displaying extensive knowledge about products and services 
Ensuring customer vehicle is finished on time and details for customer services rendered and costs for those services, ensuring satisfaction at every step of interaction 
Using all methods of customer communication, including online bookings, phone calls, and in-person interactions, to schedule and book appointments, vehicle drop-offs, and vehicle pick-ups 
Communication with technicians about vehicle statuses, and ensures that vehicles will be ready for customer on time 
Acting as an advocate for clients when communicating vehicle problems and needs to repair department 
Liaising with technicians about parts ordering to ensure requisite parts are available when vehicle repairs require them, and communicating any time restrictions to customers in timely manner 
Processing customer payments

Advising customers with queries regarding their finance agreement such as; final payments, refinancing their vehicle, change of bank/payment date details, also providing settlement figures, and a full breakdown of how the figure was worked out if requested.

I've learnt how to deal with the pressure of being in control of customers finances and how any error made by myself could effect them in their everyday lives.

I find the management are very fair and understanding especially when it comes to personal situations we could be dealing with. They are always willing to help and always go out of their way making sure we are all looked after and understand we know what's expected of us.

The hardest part of the job is knowing the systems, since we use so many different systems to assist customers it can be very overwhelming but once youir used to it each systme becomes very useful and makes the job easier.

My colleagues are all very friendly and are the type of people you could have fun outside of work. Its a young environment so can have a discussion about things you'd talk to your friends outside of work with. We are all eager and happy to help each other with anyone, in the company we are treated as a family.

I get to work a little earlier than I have to just in order to make sure I am set for the day, because once it starts it can just run away with you. I work in a constantly changing, fast paced environment. My day to day duties involve talking to customers, selling cars, chasing where cars are up to in the process and handing over the vehicles once all the preparation is done. I am also responsible for organising the sign up of finance documents and order forms. If I am free and we receive a delivery of vehicles I also get involved with checking them in tagging them up and organising both the pitch and the front of the retailer, the showroom within and the stock area round the back of the car park. My co-workers are particularly helpful and encourage you to perform well within the role and will contribute when required. I think the hardest part of my job must be keeping organised and on top of everything that you have going on. I find the most enjoyable part of my job is dealing directly with customers face to face on a daily basis, then keeping in contact with those customers to ensure that they have an excellent customer experience and that they will then return to myself when purchasing their next vehicle.

Day to day work can vary a lot, one day it could be non stop, dealing with so many different areas and people which is hard to keep track of, for anyone. Other days can be quiet, but then so can any line of work. My manager is generally a good manager to work for, but with to much pressure from higher managers means that gets reflected on us, which also makes days even harder, especially when its busy. Most colleagues are a good group of people, which many have the same views as me. But also we have colleagues that make days even more challenging because they think they have more authority then they actually do. The hardest part of the job is personally dealing with 3 different areas which can all be going on at one time. For any person earning this sort of money, it is not worth the hassle and pressure which causes stress quite a lot. The only enjoyable part is the people I work directly with, because they are nice people but again they also feel the same. I have learnt a lot within the last year, to do with cars, and dealing with certain people, but its not what I wish to do in the long term future.

Being a workshop controller my typical day consists of a variety of tasks from routine day to day maintenance and control of the workshop environment including updating Technicians KPI's, workshop loading , training ,rota management ,holidays and quality control .Through out my time as a workshop controller the skills I have developed are to be pro-active ,multitasking and re-active to the high demands of other departments within the dealer adhering to deadlines and goals ensuring the highest level of customer service and productivity possible. At times in my current position I have felt a lack of support from my management, with this being said my co-workers more than make up for their short comings working as a close nit team. The most challenging part of my role would be maintaining the high standards of performance with limited resources but I am not afraid to get involved in order to complete the tasks in hand.The most enjoyable part of my job would be working with a team ,achieving goals and exceeding expectations.

Get there early - make a coffee, check waiting area, cups are a plenty, biscuits and sugars etc stocked up, coffee machine ready to go, tidy up the magazines etc. Switch on the radio etc.
Start at 8am - busy start checking customers in, reporting all customers concerns with vehicle, arranging lifts etc, liaising with the technicians regarding customer concerns. Make sure customers have been picked up on time and driver knows customers name and where they are going and what time to be picked up. Look after any customers waiting in the waiting area, keep an eye on their job. Prepare cars for MOT's. Write up invoice and prepare the bill (warranty, service plan, motability, credit card/cash). Make sure cars are washed. Answer any calls - distribute accordingly. Create bookings for service's and MOT's and repair work.
It's a great place to work the customers are great, very friendly and loyal. Most customers have been returning to JCB Honda for years and know all the staff by name and vice versa. The managers are incredibly supportive and easy going, on a typical day the manager will have you laughing till you ache and the customers too.

I work with my co-work - two of us dealing with the whole dealer network over the UK for all the brands Skoda / Seat / VW / Audi /TPS - With an overall great respected for me and my co-work. 

Hardest part of my job is dealing with rude dealers - which can end up with them changing their view on what has happened - they know i will always do my ut most to help. 

Most enjoyable part of my job - Love to be busy. All of my jobs I like even the hardest bits.
