Overall reviews at Clarks
Good as a part time job for students
A typical day will include interacting with a range of customers and helping them find shoes that fit them best. This is especially important on the children's department. The hardest part of the job is the initial training, once you become confident in fitting shoes it becomes easier. It's not all about fitting shoes though, there's usually lots to be done behind the scenes in the stock room too so there's a variety of activities.
Good pay, good hours, nice staff
I really enjoyed my experience with clarks, I would have hoped I would have stayed on after the back to school season but unfortunatley that wasn't the case. Great overall place to work.

productive and fun workplace
I feel that Clarks is a great company to work for. I have learned a number of skills that I can use for the future, such as customer service skills and operating the tills.
My co-workers are excellent to work with. they're friendly, easy to get along with and the work hard as a team.
The management are also excellent. They listen and take on board your opinions, and are willing to swap shifts and work around you.
The hardest part of my job is keeping the shop floor tidy at peak selling times. on weekends it can become hectic which makes it difficult to keep constantly tidy, but we always manage to.
The most enjoyable part of my job is learning new skills and helping customers out. It's a great feeling to receive customer satisfaction.
Fab place to work were all long term staff
Great time had at clarks worked there for 9 years. Good team ethic on the job training good way to learn. Gave me great experience and learning tools to grow in my role.

Fun, Busy and Social workplace.
Great company to work for as a whole, although doesn't provide staff with uniform which can be costly to keep replacing.
Staff atmosphere is great and management is engaging and helpful.
ProsGreat Training, Nice Store, Good Breaks
ConsNot much room to advance further.

hard working work place
Didn't enjoy the job the team was hard working and nice but management set too high targets for a new employee
Productive and fun workplace!
I enjoyed this job, with varied roles, very much. It was my first job since completing Secondary Education. I like speedy work and to work in a practical way. I love to work hard and am very enthusiastic about my quality of work and enjoy to be kept busy!
good place to work albeit a little bit stressful during the 'back to school period'. management at times lack the insight to allocate more workers to particular sections when it was at its busiest. because of this, we were constantly getting out of work late.
Prosdiscount on shoes
A typical day at work would be dealing and assisting with customers no matter what they require and ensuring that they leave satisfied. During my two years at Clarks I have learned how to deal with both kids and adults in a professional but friendly manner whilst still doing my job of selling shoes. The management and Co-workers were both very friendly and approachable if ever you needed anything. I did not find anything that challenging but enjoyed every single second of it
Great place to work.
My daily duties were to manage to children's department. Selling and putting sales through till. Measuring children's feet and fitting. Also managing other departments.
Strong trustworthy shoe brand that keeps true to their roots.
Open Management, since it is a local office, nice friendly environment, highly motivated and hard working, yet the balans work private life is respected.
The most difficult part of the Job was the commuting and the nice parts of the job is that you are part of the decision making of the region product line.
ProsNice casual friendly enviroment
ConsLocated in Breda and I live in Utrecht-Terwijde.
I was recently laid off from Clarks. So this certainly colors this review.
I worked at Clarks for 9 years as a men's footwear designer. I worked on the lower-priced Collection shoes and even though my designs were huge money-makers for the company, I was never promoted. Still, I liked my colleagues there very much and I enjoyed doing good, productive work with them. Unfortunately, this company has undergone many leadership changes and so the culture was continually shaken up. The efforts to transform the company to be global were poorly managed and modernization of the e-commerce model was clumsy. I still love the brand and I hope they can pull out of the pandemic crisis intact and able to flourish.
ProsComfortable office spaces
ConsManagement's distrust of staff
Great and proactive company
Great company to work with really good benefits. Very flexible to work with your availability. Company really take care of their employees. Working hours are regular mall and retail hours.
