Overall reviews at Pertemps Network Group
OK. Temporary work. Filling envelopes. Filling customer orders into bags or boxes. Hourly targets. Radio and Heaters. Friendly place to be.
ProsTwo breaks a shift
ConsNo guarantee of work
The most enjoyable part of the job. I learned lot of new skills. They were open to teach me. There was slow progress for me. They were flexible. I like the management.
I enjoyed the variety of work I did from house cleaning, office cleaning, gardening and building work, no one day was the same.
I started working for Pertemps back in September 2014 and when I started, told them about my leg problem, they carried on letting me work there, I was working my back side off, then my supervisor put me on something he knew I shouldn't of (one thing in the whole warehouse I couldn't do) and was in terrible pain with my leg so filled out a form, they told me to get a doctors note so I did that day (to show how keen I was to carry on working there) and few days later got told ''no work for you'' They let me go because of my leg but they can't say otherwise I could take it further. And also, I felt like an outcast as was hardly any English people there!! Only fare few!! Not happy at all. Wouldn't ever work for them again, they have put me off agency completely! They treat you like slaves!!
ProsThe fact that I had a job and was earning money
ConsDidn't like the management, how they run people
My typical day at work was very repetitive, lonely and was not able to communicate with others. It was not a friendly environment to be within. It was good pay but was not an enjoyable job.
Not very good company to work for.
Expect too much of you. Unsafe work environment. Dolly wheels do not move. People chuck them about all over. Trays stacked crooked and food inside smashed. Management doesn’t care as long as you meet unrealistic pick rate. Should be on safety not pick rate.
ProsFree lunches for overtime
ConsPoor picking system
Productive, Great way to do your daily workout
I am currently working here and i can say it is indeed a really good job.
I do not like, however, because you have to walk A LOT and be constantly standing or on the go, which kills my feet.
Managers are super fun and friendly fortunately, they have some minor requirements but they're motivated
Conslong hours, constant walking
Timekeeping is essential. Picking up to 1000 items per shift.
Learning how to make picking faster with certain routs along the factory. this was at Carlton industrial estate for M&S
They text you an hour before your shift to cancel you which is no good when your on nights as youve lost the whole day . I could no longer do 12hr shifts due to health reasons so they said we talk about 8 hr shifts maybe on different contract but it never materialised so had no choice but to leave . Asked about going onto the virgin contract but they only seem to take on polish people for that . I was there 8 months with good pick rate but now feel really let down by them .
ProsAlways paid on time
ConsNever listen to you
Company is friendly and helpful. I never have a problem with the work. Management is great. They helped and explained in problematic situations. I havent the hardest part of this job because they never had.
