I have worked for search on Clydesdale bank contract for 2 years now.

Don’t work here unless you want your confidence dropped and made to feel like you can’t do the job
Day after manchester bombing, I was took into a meeting to be warned for being late into work, absolutely ridiculous. The sales training was awful and so realistic, having to stand up and sell a pen infront of people on the spot, then made to try learn a MASSIVE script word by word. I was told by management after making sales that because I couldn’t do the script, recruitment might not be for me. I lost confidence but didn’t give up, left the company and started another recruitment role which i was the top sales person. Scripted sales is not the way to achieve! I would never know want to go through all that again for low pay, way to stressful for long hours and £18k!
ProsMy manager was lovely until she went off sick and was managed by a ridiculous manager
ConsLong hours, confidence dropping sales training, strict management and no job security

Fun, educational and enjoyable.
Search are a great Agency to work for. whenever they have your availability, you are ensured of a placement.
I enjoy all my placements and have felt included in the running of a shift. I have felt that my opinions have been well accepted and valued.
Although some co workers have posed some problems, these have often been amicably solved between ourselves or with management intervention.
My most enjoyable part of the job is when the recipient of my services approciates my services and thanks me for it. Priceless!
ProsFlexibility
ConsThe wages are a bit low for skilled personnel, e.g. Nurses

Temporary Recruitment Administrator
Herotsc, initially role was to deal with the large backlog of reference's for candidate who were already in the business. This was achieved by phone, email or fax from pervious employers, 2 years employment history or provide relevant documentation for gaps in employment. For a period of time I supported the Recruitment coordinator in completing pre-vetting candidates. This involved Credit Check being carried out, ensure all proof of address and proof of ID was suitable and any sign offs to be looked at with the Compliance Officer. I'd be required to have conversation around candidates criminal offences and issues with credit file, I also had the pleasure in giving job offers. Herotscs in-house databases were update and improvement made to fulfill daily Reports.

Flexible
Working for this agency, I found it to be flexible and it worked very well for me whilst I was studying.
As it is an agency, you don't get to experience working alongside management and colleagues who also work for Search Consultancy.
Enjoyable part of the job was picking and choosing when and where I worked.
Hardest part of the job is being 'available' for shifts, however getting offered none so this made the job fairly unreliable in terms of money. However, again, I was studying at the time so this worked well for me as I couldn't be working full time.
The job was varied, being sent to different places, so I enjoyed the variety and it helped me learn what I liked and disliked.
ProsHelp paying for travel and food costs.
ConsSometimes not being offered shifts for a while.
