Questions and answers about Vets4Pets

How did you feel about telling people you worked at Vets4Pets?
Asked 21 Jun 2017
It was the worst place I have ever worked and I will NEVER work for this disgusting company again. The head vet and manager at Hastings are horrific people
Answered 16 Dec 2019
Initially excited to be working front of house, representing a professional company which also meant I interacted with clients and their pets. Some concerns about the “selling” side when expected or asked to push products or care plans to improve income for the company, seemed a bit hard sell for a caring profession? Later, a little embarrassed as locals not happy with the pricing policy and lots pulled out of being clients there.

Get rid of the ‘management’ at Vets4Pets Hastings
Answered 16 Dec 2019
Remove the owners from Hastings VETS4PETS and replace them with respectful, compassionate people who actually care about their staff and the animals they look after, rather than the money they’re making

What is the organisational culture at Vets4Pets?
Asked 12 Jul 2017
Training is reading a manual. Money orientated, greedy, uncaring JVPs
Answered 11 Dec 2019
I can only comment for the group of 4 practices I belong to and the 3 JVPs we have. I beleive the training has been excellent from my point of view. Mentors are assigned to all colleagues to help develop them and also offer training. CPD is strongly encouraged and also it is encouraged that colleagues deliver learned CPD to each other as well. They are very strong for looking after colleague mental wellbeing as well.

7days a week! New practices until 8pm! Bad work life balance!

Sole charge days 9am -8pm with 30min unpaid lunch but you need to be contactable. Every other weekend, Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 10am-4pm Regularly no nurse cover so surgeries had to be cancelled.
