i worked for these people in a place called van der windt .. from day 1 i had nothing but trouble from 2 of the 3 warehouse staff and as i became better at my job the problems became worse .. older guys feeling threatened by a younger faster fitter guy.  basically i think i was put in there to sort out all the problems that required hard work to sort them out ,, after that the dishonesty started and after being accused of various things with no reasons ,, the guy telling the lies even tripped up with the management by telling different people different storys but this was ignored . cordent people helped for a short time but where only really concerned with me turning up to work rather than the conditions i had to endure ... as i see they are advertising this position again as a FRIENDLY TEAM and please be aware this is far far from the truth ,,, if you work hard and get on the atmosphere in the warehouse will soon turn toxic for you and unfortunately the management seem to be very naive when it comes to believing everything they are told by existing staff ... shame really because its an easy job if you have the correct attitude but a good attitude is not tolerated by most of the warehouse staff as it exposes there frailty's and shows how bad they are at there jobs . i post this as a heads up for anyone that goes to VAN DER WINDT at osbournby ,,, ITS NOT A FRIENDLY TEAM as the advert states ....

I applied for a position within the Civil Service with Premiere People, only to find out on my start date that the job was completely different to the one i applied for.

During this time i found out my grandmother who i cared for had terminal cancer and only had a matter of weeks to live, so i spoke with management and made an arrangement with them to work condensed hours whilst being able to take care of my grandmother.

Sadly my grandmother passed away and i informed my manager of this and took 1 week off to arrange the funeral and comfort my father as he is disabled also.

When I returned to my job, i was just about to log in and was told by an operational manager that Premiere People wanted me to go to the agency immediately to speak to them. I went to the agency only to be told that the Civil Service no longer wanted me as i was taking too much time off (i had agreed to condensed hours). 

I tried to explain my situation and Premiere People told me they would look into this and get back to me in a few days. I tried to reach out to Premiere only to find out that they blocked my phone number from calling them and my emai address from contacting them.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL CHEW YOU UP AND SPIT YOU OUT.

Thankfully it was a blessing in disguise as 1 week after this i was given an opportunity within the NHS and i have been here now for the past 2 years and im considered as a human being and not just a number.

AVOID PREMIERE PEOPLE

I have built strong relationships with my Key Accounts working closely with them on a one to one basis through regular planned contact and also through weekly project work that may range from requests from compliance, sales, development through to customer service facing projects. 

The main focus of my role has been to support the members through support, training and development and ensure the network retains their business. 

I have also been involved with recruiting new prospects to the network, compiling competitor network databases and targeting prospects via mail-shots, e-shots and cold calling.

I am a very enthusiastic and outgoing individual and my focus and commitment is delivering excellent customer services both to our members and also to employees internally. I am able to work to strict deadlines and am able to work well under pressure.

The job that l thought l was getting was described to me as a really good company to work for.  When l got there l was not impressed with the job at all, it was very stressful, no / very little help was given when l was asking for help, given work that l had no clue what to do with.  I rang the agency quite a number of times to say that l was not happy and l wanted to leave.  l asked them quite a number of times if they had other roles and l was always told that they had roles, and l would be put forward for them.  When l rang back they would come up with some rubbish, more likely that forgot.  In the end l got another role with another agency.  I gave them just short of 2 weeks notice.  l left a week after l gave them my notice as the agency wanted me to start earlier than planned.  The agency were not happy that l left so soon.  Over the years l re-registered with them many times and never ever received a job.  Only to be told over 10 years later that they would not let me work for them, due to the fact that l walked out a job.  l would never have walked out if they had done their job properly in the first place, as l was not happy in the role l was in hease the reason why l left.

Originally I was meant to start a gardening job which NEVER happened. 
Then they got me a warehouse job in Ince. On my second day, I was having a bad day. This was due to my mums anniversary coming up and I can’t handle it. The warehouse didn’t want me back, I explained to Cordant and they never backed me up. 
I CANT HELP IT! 

They got me a second job. 
Whilst I was there, an innocent girl was getting bullied; apart of me wanted to leave then, I’m 100% against bullying. 
Second/third day, the ‘team leader’ was attempting to be rude to me, which I retaliated and said ‘excuse me, I’ve never done this kind of work before’. Then the manager attempted to have a go at me, which made me walk out instead on retaliating again. 
I rang Cordant up, explaining I’ve witnessed bullying (permanent staff bullying agency staff). Then explained I’m being spoken to like I’m worthless which I’m not tolerating.  They said ‘I’m not happy about this, I’m going to have a word with them and get back to you’. 
5 months later and they haven’t got back to me. 
Also got told they’ll find me another job, still waiting.

For an agency that’s main job is to find people work and pay them they were great at finding me work with a good company that have since taken me on full time which is fantastic however my contact within the agency is absolutely useless after the initial interview had zero contact, didn’t give me any information on what holiday I was entitled to, how to access my payslips etc. Everything was fine until it came to me taking holiday at which time the messed up my pay completely and after contacting cordant to get this sorted out and being told it was a clerical error fair enough these things happen they decided not to contact me again with any sort of solution leaving me having to chance them up several times for my pay to still be wrong the following week this is completely unacceptable if your hoping to get properly paid and get any support for issues you might face I’d  strongly advice you to look elsewhere. This review is in no way judgment on the job they got me the company I work at have been excellent all my criticism is aimed at cordant 

It started off brilliantly, working from home and having the best manager at the company I was recruited for. The company I was recruited for was amazing, the management, the feedback and everything. But then I realised there was no contact from cordant, there hadn’t been since I got the job, it almost felt like a chore to contact them for things. It took them a month to chase sick pay after saying they paid it in arrears and other things they finally admitted they had missed a payment and paid me a week later. It was a really stressful job and there was nothing in place to help workers, calls would leave me crying and having panic attacks but there was nothing to help. The hours were between 7am-11pm and that also took a toll, and the constant texts for overtime. I was also constantly moved from campaign to campaign which wasn’t in the job description. Overall it wasn’t the best workplace. 

I took a 24 hour role with them, once placed with a company i found it was a 40 hour contract. When i tried to chase this i was informed that this is what i chose (though i have emails that would say otherwise) and that i would just NEED to work these hours if i wanted to keep the role. 

Every person from the recruitment company would become increasingly hostile when probed or asked to ammend the contract. In the end i took the same job with a different recruiter and was reworking the role within a week.


If all you read is this then know. They will NOT accept responsibility for there own mistakes. They WILL expect you to have no work life balance and to work as much as they need you to. Mostly. When they mess it up. It WILL be your fault. You'll have a better time milking a rock than working with these. 

Cordant people could not care less about "people", much less individuals. They care about money and quotas. The job culture at Cordant was over concerned with procedure, often at the expense of common sense. There is no job security or reward for loyalty/diligence to the company. This company treat people like they are disposable, and often used scare tactics and "ramp downs" to control behaviour (much like an abuser might in a destructive relationship). Cordant have no regard  for the livelihoods of their staff, often mispaying or neglecting to pay workers for overtime they are encouraged to take, and then making these errors a bureaucratic nightmare to contest. 
Cordant is a company with a completely toxic administration policy that, in my experience, tended to filter down and poison the behaviour and attitudes of their managers, workers and subsequently, their clients. 


After working in the recruitment industry for some time now, I've never worked for a company that cares this much about their candidates, clients and their own staff as much as Cordant People does.

I would talk about a typical working day here, but there isn't one. Every day working here is different which keeps the job all the more interesting. 

The culture here is so friendly and helpful, there will always be someone to go to for guidence, advice or just a friendly chat.

The hardest part of the job is switching off. As you're so committed to what you do, you can't help but live and breath it. There's very little negatives about working here; I have only realised this after working for for companies prior to this one. 

The most enjoyable part of working here is when you find someone their dream job and see how happy they are.
