Some days can be challenging especially on a 12hr shift. There are many areas from which to gain experience within production, you will learn the entire process as time goes on as you will be assigned to different areas on a day to day basis. The management are professional and take their role seriously as expected but easy going and respectable when dealing with staff. One thing that stands out is the diversity of Dunbia work culture, everyone will have a good experience here regardless of your background. The hardest part is maintaining focus for long periods of time whiles maintaining a strict standards during production, definitely don't neglect your sleep, rest well and you will do fine. The most enjoyable part of dunbia is the staff and being part of a team. 

Enjoyed the job its self, at times hard work and fast paced, huge language barrier with 90% of the staff being Polish, id advise not to work there if your English, they don't make an effort with you once they know your English, i was doing 2 or 3 man jobs on my own alot, constantly doing different things was a problem, like one day you could be packing in a comfortable temperature, and the next you could be in ice cold temperatures, i had about 4 or 5 chest infections because of that, all in the space of 4 months. I ended up leaving rather than having my contract terminated because of attendance issues, after being off you have a back to work interview with management. The pay is bad for the type of work you do at £8.21 per hour, and if you want alot of overtime I hope your Polish, because they are offered first.

my time at dawn was not a good one for the most part
i started out on a simple 40hr week no problem
once production was pushed forward my hours increased and i found my self working over 60hrs some weeks with very little sleep and time to see my family for around 2 years i pushed for the sites facilities to be to a good standard to constantly be knocked back by poor unorganized management with no real understanding of what a professional food factory should be like. it was truly like working in the industrial revolution
to  nay budding maintenance engineers  i would strongly advise to stay away the work environment in engineering is toxic.

So I worked at Dunbia for 2 days and it was genuinely the most daunting and overwhelming place to work at. I was a packer and it was poorly organised and poor supervision. I had no support by any of my co-workers. I was treated badly for no reason by my so called supervisor and other colleagues in front of everyone who were on the same isle as me. I've never felt so embarrassed so I left on my first break without telling anyone feeling severely upset and underwhelmed.

A TYPICAL DAY AT WORK IS START AT 730 WORK TO 9.30 THAN BREAK TO 10.00 THAN WORK TO 12.30 THAN BREAK TO 13.00 THAN WORK UNTIL FINISH

THE HARDEST PART OF THE DAY IS WE HAD A BREAK DOWN AND THE PRODUCTION LINE HAD TO STOP
THE MOST ENJOYABLE PART OF THE DAY IS SATISFACTION THAT THE JOB IS DONE WELL

I started work there with no experience at Butchery. My so called trainer was shouting at me within minutes because I didn't know what to do,he also slags you off to other colleagues when you're attempting to learn what the job entails. It's extremely fast paced,very poorly paid and the managers treat people with utter disgust and look down on you. All in all, I was glad to leave. Only work here if you are desperate for money.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing is great in this company. People just stuck in there because of lack of paperwork to move forward

Ignorant management, Think they better breed.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Bad. No appreciation of long service commitment. You only a number 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful constantly dealing with stupidity

interview was easy, the girl that rang me was nice and did my training on first day. There is overtime, and sometimes you can work weekends if you want if its busy. They train you up if you want but if you want to just come and go then you can. You know your job is safe too especially in covid which is good. 

Bad culture in the business, Office staff not friendly at all and communication is a huge issue. Lack of accountability between departments and very corporate run, you are just a number at the end a day. Everyone is replaceable. Offices are cramped and basic. I recommend applying to a company that makes you feel appreciated and part of team because you won’t find that here.

Tell you to turn up at certain times for background checks, then tell you to go back home no matter how far you live, then to come back, without fuel pay. That occurred around 5 times, I live a good distance. Then to tell you your shift will start next day for then them to phone you to say they won't be taking your application any further without any reason. Absolute joke. Couldn't believe it.
