What is the best part of working at the company?
I have never felt to welcome to join a company and so appreciated for the hard work that i put in. Recognition is something that is sadly missed in large companies but the recognition here comes straight from the owners themselves. There is a real "family run" feel and culture throughout the company. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The only time it is ever stressful is when i am understaffed  This is temporary though due to illness and we will be back up to resource soon.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
You can really tell that the company is family owned in the way it runs, managers report directly to the owners, and the owners Neal and Harry are great, really helpful, understanding and you can talk to them about anything. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Exceptionally busy but enjoyable too. There is always something to do with running a dealership with just 15 people but everyone gets on great and really works together as one big team.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The management are approachable and supportive, creating a great working environment where everyone works together. There’s also a strong focus on recognising hard work and helping people grow.

There isn't a stressful part of the Job

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Working at GMG has been a really positive experience. As a family-run business, there’s a genuine sense of care and community, you’re not just an employee, you truly feel part of a team.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day for me is fast-paced and busy, mainly focused on responding to incoming enquiries. I spend a lot of time speaking with customers, providing quotes, answering questions, and helping guide them through the sales process.

No two days are the same,  it’s a mix of calls, emails, and follow-ups, making sure every customer gets a quick and helpful response. It’s a dynamic role that keeps me engaged and always on my toes.

The culture that the Graingers and their associated directors build into the business its phenomenal, it does feel like you're part of a family, and you want to do your best for them. 

I previously worked for a very large PLC for ten years and a nearby family group where I found the culture to be holding them back immensely. 

I look forward to coming to work everyday, it's not easy work, but it's rewarding. It's still long hours - it is the care trade of course, but because of their processes and operations, everything is very slick and you can spend more time speaking to customers which in my experience has been rare in this role. 

The pay is also very fair, which again is something that is extremely rare when I ask friends at other groups, largely due to their fair budgeting and very clever business practices. 

Honestly, I can't recommend this group enough, I'm so grateful to have been given the opportunity.

I feel trusted in my role to make financial decisions and enjoy the flexible approach in terms of hours and location. Senior management recognise the dedication from its staff and regularly reward with treats of lunch, group party’s and  fun activity incentives, so overall if you’re a hard working team player that strives for success GMG is a great place to work.

I really enjoy working at Grainger Motor Group. The company has a strong team culture and there is a genuine focus on supporting staff and helping people develop in their roles. Management is approachable, colleagues work well together, and there is a positive atmosphere across the business. It’s great to be part of a company that values its people and recognises the importance of creating a good workplace for everyone.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
nothing stressful at all, great company

I have really enjoyed working at this Group, it is a supportive environment to work with great team culture.
Everyone is really approachable, and the management team always encourages growth and are open to hearing ideas, which has made it a great place for me to build my skills and experience within the motor industry.
Overall I have had a really positive experience!

Excellent place to work, staff and customers are looked after amazingly. Everyone is listened to, management are approachable and the opportunities to progress in your career are available and in your hands to achieve

It isn't stressful, the structure of the company means everyone is supported

Brilliant environment, friendly and culture is great. Everyone is treated fairly and well

Everyone is approachable in any department. Each site helps each other and it really does feel like family! 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The motor trade brings every day stresses but knowing you have a great team around you makes it allot easier.

Started off well but quickly turned sour. The attitude of staff is terrible, they lure you in with friendliness then once you’re comfortable they change rapidly. Lots of misogyny and favouritism. Hours are long and the pay is lacklustre.
