Terrible place to work honestly please if you are reading this do not do it !! the vehicles are never loaded on time so your told to start at 6.30am you get in to be told to wait in the canteen could be waiting 2 hours and the transport office could not care less about it. When you are loaded you have lots of paper work to do before leaving the site and if your lucky you will have your load in totes but lately they have been putting everything on pallets so the driver has to sort through the delivery before delivering the correct items to the customer and make sure you deliver the correct items or expect a roasting when you get back to the depot! the machine they give you with your days work load on which also doubles up as a sat nav never takes you to where you need to go even though someone that works there has uploaded this information on to the devise they have even uploaded where the depot is wrongly which I found absolutely hilarious, make sure you do not go on a contract or expect to do 3 to 5 hours more a day you will not get paid for, go on agency so at least you get paid by the hour they have a agency office in there main building pretemps which tells you a lot about staff turn over!! weigh bridge has not been working for a few months now so you never know if you are driving an overloaded vehicle, the vehicles are tracked and you will get another roasting for harsh braking (sometimes this can't be helped) harsh acceleration (somthimes this can't be helped) harsh cornering and speeding don't get me wrong they need to know where there drivers are but it seems to be all you get is moaning never praise for hard work or a good job done this week.Was told only 15 to 17 drops a day when I took the job on but what they don't say is this can take you between 10 to 13 hours a day!! I worked my wages out by the hour last week for the hours I did I got paid £5.36 an hour because I'm on a contract and set pay they will not pay over time unless you go in on your rest day!! don't go by the website for holiday as that is also a load of rubbish all you get is 20 days you do not get bank holidays off as staled on the website unless your lucky and your rest day falls on that day and they do not allow any holiday in December. HONESTLY PLEASE DO NOT BE DRAGGED IN BY THE HR CALLING YOU ALL EXCITED THAT YOU HAVE THE JOB IT IS TERRIBLE HERE AND THERE ARE DESPERATE FOR DRIVERS BECAUSE THEY KEEP LEAVING!!!

My working day starts with serving at the counter and collecting processed orders for the Virgin Media Technicians. The workload is varied as this depends on how many Technicians are routed in and this can range from 20 to 60 and are required to be supplied and served before 8am.For the remainder of the morning there are various other Virgin Media Technicians to serve and process orders for along with the normal BAU duties and daily tasks which consist of order picking, order management, stock counts, unpicking processed orders that are not needed on the warehouse management system after these duties are complete I would also be required to take receipt of all returned equipment from various technicians ranging from Network technicians to installation Technicians and collection agents. The afternoon workload is much the same but with an increase in order picking/scanning orders from the order management system for the Technicians the following day. I would also along with other team members be required throughout the day to have a good standard of housekeeping and to load and unload any stock deliveries which arrive.

With the stock what we hold and supply for the customer(Virgin Media) I have had the opportunity to learn about the products and services which they provide.

The management at Kuehne-Nagel is structured in a Regional Operation Which consist of Area Managers, Area Team Leaders and Field Store Team Leaders. The management within Kuehne -Nagel are very professional and very helpful and very hands on.

I work within a small team of five consisting of three field store operatives, one driver/Operative and one team leader who all work well as a team and constantly perform towards the running of a good store.

I find the hardest part of the job is having to at times keep the customer happy and supplied with stock at times when there are stock issues and has an impact on the business needs.

The most enjoyable part of the job is knowing that when Technicians arrive at the counter and they require excess stock due to customer demand or faults I can help keep the partner customers happy by supplying the stock.

Worked for 2 years as an operative. I've seen workers injured due to an unsafe environment and they were dealt with and send home without calling an ambulance. Some of them had difficulties standing on their own 2 legs. Shift manager will constantly try to work you as much as possible, pushing it over the limit and will try to send you home early even if you are contracted in order to reduce cost. They reached a point where you had to do 2+ hours of overtime on a daily basis that they couldn't afford to pay and you had to beg every month for your overtime money. Agency workers contracted by Manpower had problems in receiving their normal pay some of them missing 2-3 hours a day from their pay. Very bad management, coordinated by a single individual confusing the work environment with his playground dealing with issues through blackmail, manipulation and threatening workers with the termination of work contract if they wouldn't reach the desired target even if it inhuman workload. Very small warehouse to fit everything, the picked goods were loaded on trucks, vans or lorries and kept outside of the warehouse during the nighttime due to lack of space. Very small canteen and only 1 department had at least 30 workers to share 2 microwaves. Toilets were always a mess. There is no way going up, but they created an atmosphere where you have to give detailed information about other warehouse ops activities so you may get attention.No communication in between departments which lead to plenty of issues during the working day. Uniform is not provided although it is stated in your contract that you will receive a uniform. The same problem with lockers, in 2 years time working there I didn't get a locker. Clocking devices were disabled so you won't be able to see your working hours/holiday/lieu time etc. Weren't allowed to get more than 1 week holiday. I couldn't use at all any of my lieu time. Booked two weeks of holiday, months in advance and I was threatened to lose my job if I wouldn't come back to work after 5 days. Toxic environment wich implied racism, drug use, stealing goods and personal belongings.

An average day would consist of face to face meetings with our customer, Airbus. Data analysis and organizing deliveries to certain areas of the site.
I would also need to fill in time sheets, charts, templates and spreadsheets to gather information required to be able to carry out tasks within the work place effectively.
I have learned a lot about logistic operations through my experience within K&N from small adhoc deliveries to full scale essential time driven deliveries to make sure the wings get out on time.
From my time within K&N I can confidently say the management, on a whole, is  a well organised leadership orientated team showing strong values to bring the customer the best service possible.
My experience within K&N in regards to colleagues has been good. In a small number of instances i have worked with K&N employees which have neither the heart, interest nor drive to effectively help to satisfy our customers needs.
I can quite happily say there is no hard part to my job, there are a number of tasks which are challenging, which always adds more excitement to my job role, my job role on a day to day basis is never the same with a constant barrage of problems which need solving.
The most enjoyable part of my job is the face to face meetings, hands on organizing of deliveries and keeping the customer happy.

I've been working for them for few months now on the Waitrose contract in Milton Keynes, Brinklow. There are some glitches like everywhere else but it's not too bad at all. Working 5 days a week on 48h contract (it could be less but seen 50 h/week getting more common now). Getting working weekend bonus and possibility of overtime (at higher rate). Double pay for bank holiday. With O/T you take home 520-570 pounds -that is 6 days work - roughly 55 hours, basic salary is around Ł450. There is unloading involved but only on the tail lift or a scissor lift in stores (cages on wheels-no lifting), you are also expected to load empties (every day) or load pallets from a supplier (but that is maybe twice a week). You get company pension, uniform, slowest lorries in the south-west :) and subsidized canteen. There is no cowboy tasks and very serious approach to work and vehicle safety/condition with an in-house vehicle maintenance unit. Some awkward places to deliver too as well but everything is well explained and there is plenty of time to do the task safely. You're also provided with the training and starting with the easiest stores and difficulty/accident occurrence gradually rising to the highest risk ones. Some drivers are working here for 20 years + which gives you an idea of how well it's organised (they also complain the most ;) The UNITE union is recognised within the company.

The best part of working there is the good pay. Only.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part was unrealistic KPIs combined with limited support, unclear break expectations, inconsistent training, and some inappropriate/racist comments from colleagues that I did not feel were properly addressed.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The culture felt divided, with some established groups making it difficult to feel included. I often felt like a number rather than an individual. Although the company operated in English, much of the day-to-day communication around me took place in non-English languages, which sometimes made me feel excluded or unsure whether I was missing work-related information. The warehouse was dusty, cold in winter and hot in summer, with limited air filtering. Break arrangements were also inconvenient.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day involved clocking in, attending a short briefing, then picking pallets with a pump truck. I moved pallets to and from the grid, then prepared them for wrapping, banding and dispatch. At times, briefings and expectations were not as clear as they could have been.

I applied for this job and was disgusted by the way I was treated. I applied for the role of tray washer and went for a interview and signed the contract that day. I was told 2 come back the next day by the agency man who was dealing with me was so unhelpful. He informed me that I would have 2 buy my own safety boots for the next day ( training ) as the company didn't have any at the time. I was told I would be refunded my money which was £40. But after the day of training I had which included been chatted up and asked for my number rather then actually teaching me how 2 do the job. The company was disgraceful and the fire Marshall had no interest in showing full training. There 4 I decided I did no longer want 2 work in that environment. I rang the company up and asked for my money back as promised for my safety boots and I was refused. I have tried calling and texting many times and have now started gettin ignored. !! I'm now £40 out of my own pocket and my waste of journeys up there is awful. I do not recommend this company at all. !!!

The management & supervisors are very unorganised, far too many mistakes on their end, but the mistakes don’t effect them, its ALWAYS the driver that it effects. 

New Drivers contracts - NO guaranteed daily hours only weekly which is 45 hours, you can have a 15 hour day then get stood down the next, all your overtime is now gone so your long day was worked for basic pay which is a regular occurrence making it very hard to earn overtime. 
This job is the Lowest paid class 1 adr driver job in the UK.
Driver morale is on the floor, many drivers leaving and management DO NOT CARE!
 There is No duty of care towards the drivers at all at kineton, you will be treated with no respect at all. 
They promise everything in interviews then when you join you will be in for a rude awakening, your starting date can take up to 4 months due to security clearance.

So many more better paid ADR jobs out there.

Sick pay and 26 days annual leave is good, the rest is shocking!


My job mainly involves briefing and de-beifing upto 100 odd drivers aday, this include many agency drivers who do not speak very good english, i also to reports and make regularf calls to the Waitrose helpdesk, i ring drivers with there start times for the next day and other adhoc office duties, my role is varied and no two days are the same in Transport which i really enjoy.

I really love being in a transport office environment always busy, hectic and sometimes alot of pressure but i really enjoy it.

I get on very well with all management and respect them. I would say the worst thing about my job has to be drivers having a moan at me when they have had a bad day, but i don't take it personally and get on great with all of them!

The most enjoyable part of my job is being busy busy busy and having lots to do and i;m always learning new things - i really love the job and the company just a shame i'm having to leave.
