I begin my day by greeting my team when I arrive to the store and make the cups of tea if anyone would like one. I then assess the delivery that has arrived in store and take a radio so I can communicate with my team. 
I speak to the manager or head coach to find out the days targets and how we have been performing throughout the week.
I also speak to my stock room lead and find out what the targets of the day are, eg New product or a product recall which has been announced.
I complete a stock replenishment every morning before I begin the delivery.
I organise and prioritise the delivery so whether the delivery is new products or products which are replenishment I can process the items we need the most.
I make sure my area is always tidy when processing in adherence to health and safety as well as preventing items being missed or damaged.
I communicate any issues with the delivery, eg damaged stock to my team leader in the stock room any my manager.
If any new products arrive I make sure the items are processed quickly, a size run is complete and I speak to our stores product placement lead so they know a new products need to be put out on the shop floor.
I quickly reply to any requests from staff regarding clothing or footwear.
I search for each item quickly and either send the item up using our lift or I take the item to them.
if a item is not available I will always offer an alternative where possible.
the hardest part of the job is not having enough time in the day to always complete the tasks I set myself, I find this frustrating.
however I always do everything I can to complete my tasks.
It can be a little difficult on a very busy day to run about collecting all the shoes and other items needed, though I find when I ask for a member of staff to help when it is very busy they are more then happy to.
The team I work with are wonderful. They are easy to speak to, understanding and supportive. We work excellently as a team, we help each other to assist customers, complete tasks and make the environment for staff and customers welcoming and happy.
Our management team are approachable, organised, good listeners, helpful and friendly.
The best part of my job is a mixture of everything. I enjoy working with my team very much and the job itself. I enjoy the organisation of the stockroom and completing tasks I have been set or set for myself. I enjoy the trust and responsibility of the jobs I do, i.e. Stock replenishment, Organising the delivery, Organising the stock in to sections (only a certain number of staff in the store have a code to do this) I enjoy helping my team by responding to their requests and helping the store meet targets.
Working for Nike I have gained a lot more knowledge throughout the years about the fast paced world of sport fitness and retail. I have enjoyed seeing original products change to meet the consumers needs as well as new products arrive with new features and benefits.
I also feel pride to work for a leading and courageous company.

Utilize customer service skills, basic sales techniques, and product knowledge to connect customers with the right product and drive sales. I learnt how to build the bond between the consumers and the brand by providing superior service and adapting brand stories to the retail setting.i also learnt to maintain knowledge of various store departments and be available to operate cash register for regular transactions, perform shipping and receiving duties, stock the floor, perform cleaning duties, and build visual displays when necessary.

Management on my floor is pretty good, at least better than the rest of the floors but there could be improvements such as following up on goals set between the employee and manager during one on one meetings.

Sometimes the hardest part of the job is to serve as a product knowledge resource for consumers and entry level associates because consumers rely on you to speak the truth but also because i work in the Men's Running department and some customers would want to know about their feet and running technique, giving us the chance to get them on the treadmill and analyse their run. 

The most enjoyable part of the job is seeking educational opportunities to develop advanced level or specialised knowledge about selling, Nike products and culture, sales and service techniques. Assist Leads, Senior Associates, and Managers in training entry level associates and assist with loss prevention efforts by providing proactive customer service. But also learning about new cultures, backgrounds and consumer stories. I believe I go above and beyond with every consumer, giving them a service they deserve and an experience they will never forget. I speak 10 languages and so for me, I enjoy conversing with customers all over the world.

I worked at Nike almost a year and the only thing that held me there were the other athletes with their fun , laughs and positive energy. Other than that I feel I wasted that year working for a company that is managed by the most rude , negative, ignorant people . There were Many times when a customer would come over and ask if I’m ok after noticing how poorly I was spoken to by a manager especially the head coach ( head manager ) . It was rare to see the head coach work past 5 which was clearly above him . All employees were expected to work till 9/10 and I worked every single weekend until I left which was just behind a joke . ALL managers were the first to jump at you and be on to you about sign ups charging for bags , customer interaction, chat, the ay you were standing and so on but I would rarely ever see them doing those things themselves . If you made the smallest of mistakes  you were pulled into the office and written up straight away . If you clocked in at 56 not 55 you’d have to fill in an immediate late form . Managers also felt it was beneath them to serve customers or answer the customers questions . They would radio for an athlete to come and do it for them . There would be occasions when The head coach would see something on the floor and instead of just picking it up like a normal person would he would radio for me to come and get it for him !!! Favourites were VERY apparent at Nike . The only time you could ever leave the floor was for a drink or toilet . Everyone did that but certain people would get watched constantly by managers and times were recorded as to how long it took them , they would also make sarcastic comments as to you being out back too , Where as others could stand out for ages with no telling off or talking too !!! The managers are Hippocrates they would willingly make up new rules about this and that but would find it very hard to follow those rules themselves !!! Instead they would sneak off for a sit down or chat in the office . Many of times i walked into the office to see managers on their phones doing absolutely NOTHING. There were many occasions when there was an issue on the shop floor which would need a manager to help resolve but there were no managers on the floor to resolve it ! They all said on a daily basis how important customer care should be to us but where was there’s ? All in all the athletes are the best thing about nike outlet and are not given enough praise for the long hours and mess they are constantly left to deal with . The managers are the worst thing about Nike they made it a horrible place to work and customers notice it too .

If you young single and free it’s a great place to progress if not you’re stuck.

Enjoyed a long career at Nike, the brand is amazing and have great morals if you can get it into the correct store with a development driven manager you can go far. Sadly this isn’t the case for Ashford, The management don’t get on which the whole team sees and plays on, like I said above if you’re not young free and single with nothing tying you down you won’t go very far and they expect the world from you. The company talk a lot about diversity inclusion and mental well-being which feels all a little fake as soon as you have any problems they’re not really there to support. 

You’re treated a lot as a child which means anyone over the age of 18 doesn’t stay long and looks for a job that doesn’t monitor your toilet breaks and how many times you’ve had a drink.

The management in the store don’t get along whatsoever and some clearly think they are better than others, very quick to throw you under the bus for personal gains.

Some members of management are really humble and want to help you others are all about themselves! Higher management outside of the store territory and above are great and always supportive never had any issues in this aspect of management.

They always take the time to listen when they visit the store no matter whether you are the head coach or a part-time sales associate, they understand that everyone plays a key role and want to make everyone feel a part of the Nike family.



I wouldn’t recommend this store for somewhere to build your management skills, commute and go to some of the London stores you seem to get treated a lot better and the opportunities of progression are a lot higher. Within other stores they understand that progression of others can also show your store in a favourable light where as Ashford they try to keep people for as long as I can, if they have the skills and won’t progress them for their own gains and easy work life knowing others will do the job and they will get the credit.



Like I said above the company is amazing it’s just each store has its own system of working and what feels like different code of morals and how they treat their store associates.

Benefits are great and you can meet some amazing people while working for the brand who truly care about your progression and life.

Was told at interview that although the contract was 8 hours, there was always plenty of overtime then when I asked for overtime, they said no as they were fully staffed. 

A typical day at Nike was a chat in the staff room to go over targets. The pressure to get people to sign up to the app is immense. They are really on your back about it and will remind you every hour on the hour throughout the day via the ear piece. There is no commission for this. It's part n parcel of the job. They want you to go up to customers, start a conversation & then pitch them the app. 

The store I worked in, generally most people were okay. Welcoming and polite but a couple of the managers let the store down. I had a couple of incidences where a manager told me off over the radio for all to listen which was uncalled for - humiliation is not the way to keep your staff. There's a lot of whispering behind backs and then everyone looking at you differently. It's playground behaviour but its retail and it seems these things go hand-in-hand. 

Everything is done via the little ipods. Returns, Sales, looking up stock, ordering online, everything. You are expected to know everything in store. Every trainer and what they are best for, every item of clothing and what its best for, women get bra fitting training which is pointless because there is zero support in the bras but you learn all this via the ipod and they give you 15 mins here n there to do quizzes to learn about each shoe, item, etc. 

It's a young crowd and would benefit someone in their teens and early 20s. I'm someone in my early 30s so I felt very out of place here. Plus, the hours was not something I could live on. Especially when they said there was always loads of hours available, and then nothing going when you ask. 

I left because of lack hours and the lack of professionalism from certain managers. Humiliation is not my thing nor is playground behaviour. 

Pros:
44% discount online, 30% discount in store. Free pair of trainers up to £85.

Cons:
The uniform isnt free. I was told that it was free so I didn't send it back when I left but then my last wage was docked £45 to cover the cost. 


Worked at The Flagship London Location so here is the stuff you want to know:

- The pay is poor, working in Central London and you are paid £8 per hour, as an athlete, paid at the end of each month. 
- The hours aren't too bad, typical retail, closes at 9pm so you can work till 10pm. The management are fairly flexible with hours as they can give you certain days off etc. Full time is 38 Hours.
- The uniform is provided for you and you receive around an allowance to spend on uniform every 3 months. full timers get more than part timers, of course and allowance changes dependent on season. 
- Any breaks over 15 mins are Unpaid.
- The staff are great, quite a young team. Everyone is friendly and get along.
- Although the London HQ is only down the road, the people at the HQ really don't offer much help.
- You get too see sports stars daily as they will be coming in and out of the store.
- When I first started it was great and for most people it is the same, first 3 months seem great and then you realize it's really not. The size of the company and you're getting a poor pay. The recruitment team when I joined were great and had a great team, now the team don't seem to be good judges of people and hire some people who are terrible at the job even after training.
- Lack of organisation & Creativity 
- 7 weeks of Holiday!!
- Massive building with over 400 members of staff and yet sometimes you can feel although their is no help at all.

Average Day, Turn up at 8:55am for a 9am shift. Make sure you have an assist to serve with. Head to your floor and find a manager or specialist and they will do your huddle (15 mins of updates, information or trending topics.) Around 9:15am you will be on the floor doing standards, taking payments etc. Around 1:30pm you would be on your lunch of 1 Hour (If working 9 hour Shift) you will then return from your lunch and work the remaining 4 hours.

I have a huge passion for the Nike brand and getting that job was one of the highlights of my year. Working at Nike was a very good experience and I learned a lot but there were some problems I faced when working there. I was supposed to have a review after every month in order to track my progress. These reviews were never done and as a result i was not made aware of the things I needed to do in order to improve and how to do these things. At the end of my 3 month probation I was let go  because "It would take too much work for me to improve" because I didn't get any online feedback from customers which is a bit unfair because most customers disregard the reviews because they either don't remember or cant be bothered writing the online feedback . Many customers complimented me, said i was very helpful and that they would give me a review but never did Nike hired me knowing I was young and it was my first job. It disappointed me that a huge company like Nike did not think it was important to invest in their staff and help them improve instead of just letting people go and looking for something better. As I stated before my managers never sat down and did the monthly reviews with me so i was completely unaware of things I needed to improve on and what i was doing well. If these reviews were done I believe I would have been able to learn new ways to persuade customers to give me online feedback. Apart from this every one of my co workers were very welcoming and very helpful when i needed help with things.

• Sole responsibility for the promotion of Nike products in 36 of its flagship factory stores across the UK and Ireland.
• 36 direct reports - as the Product Presentation Specialist of each store reports directly into me. I provide support in terms of leadership, training, advice, career development and am on call all the time to resolve any issues that arise.
• Training and educating the PPS of each store to ensure accurate brand conformity, merchandising guidelines are adhered to and the current promotional focus of the Group has been rolled out correctly. This includes store visits for training purposes, mannequin dressing and styling, window installation project management and subsequent reporting and analysis.
• Directing display teams for new store openings. This includes project management of all communications, ordering relevant stock, developing all new displays and mannequins, motivating and leading the display teams, and of course attendance throughout the opening to ensure fluidity and consistency.
• Regular spot checks throughout my territory - with frequent floor walks with Store Managers and Area Managers, advising and reporting back on their respective implementations of the Group's current promotional focus.
• Day-to-day liaison with Store Managers, Area Managers and senior management at Group Head Office, with regard to individual store merchandising and commercial success, in order to identify opportunities for brand enhancement and promotional activity.

Nike is my first job and I couldn't have had a better one! A typical day at work starts off with a game to get us all motivated before we open the store and work with customers to ensure they get what they are after. It also consists of getting new styles out, making sure units are full, standards are completed to a good standard, customers are satisfied and everyone is feeling content. 

From working at Nike for 2 1/2 years, I have learnt how to work with people confidently, how to get a job done to a good standard quickly, how to work on several tasks at once, how to put styles together and I have learnt a lot of knowledge about the products. A huge deal of  why I have learnt so much is due to the management team with their different but exciting training sessions and conversations. The management at Nike are very hard working and look after their staff. They inject a positive, enthusiastic energy into the workplace that keeps us motivated. 

Moving on, the hardest part of the job for me is letting customers down when we no longer have a product or one in their size both in store and online. I get great joy of being able to satisfy the customer and brighten up their day and I don't enjoy not being able to do so. My most enjoyable part of the job for me is all the new people I get to meet and come across. It can be people who I work with or customers that I get to know throughout a transaction or from being a long term customer. 

Overall, I enjoy my job however I believe it's time to look for a job that is suited to my ideal career.

Having worked at Nike for 2 years now i have gained a lot of experience and have experienced every kind of customer that could possibly walk into a retail store, being such a popular store there is no average genre of people that come into this store in West Brom. My typical day at work would consist of either, working on the till, being the face of the store, greeting customers, selling their desired items, stock co-ordinating, handling cash, processing stock (e.g pricing, hanging, counting, tagging ect.) arranging footwear into the correct order so that its easier for the customers to shop and staying on top of standards. I have learn't a lot about customer service, how to handle customers according to their desires or needs, and how to present myself in those situations. also learning how to stay concentrated and get the task done as quick as possible as been a clearance store there is a lot to stay on top of and a lot to be done throughout the day. I get on so well with my co-workers its like we are a little family, with banter and also being proffesional when need be.The hardest part of the job would be trying to get everything done within one day, and one shift seeing as there is so much to get through, its a busy store. the most enjoyable part of my job, is being able to represent a large brand such as Nike and knowing that there is so many opportunities when working for such a company as this.
