They organise budget-friendly company gatherings with the intention of getting you intoxicated and gathering information about colleagues. Their seemingly friendly company culture can entice you to work for them at a fraction of what you could earn elsewhere.

The management pretends to be like your friends and family, aiming to extract maximum effort from you for minimal compensation. They are adept at identifying and exploiting employees' weaknesses for the company's benefit. Constantly emphasising the importance of a friendly company culture over better pay, they keep individuals with vulnerabilities, such as difficulty adapting to new cultures or people, stress, undervaluing themselves, or family issues, working here for extended periods, taking advantage of them.

Some individuals even return to the company due to their inability to navigate career changes effectively. Many experienced employees retire with salaries ranging from 50K to 60K, significantly less than what they could have earned elsewhere (90K+). Once you depart, they monitor your ability to cope with the change. If they sense you can't be manipulated, you receive no further response from these so-called super-friendly, family-like Snap-on directors and managers. :)

Don't squander your time trying to deceive people; those with intelligence will discern your actions. Enhance your skills and seek employment elsewhere where you can earn a fairer wage.

The pressure they put on you is huge and they completely detach themselves from any duty of care. The culture is wrong and driven by indistinct targets made to suite whatever narrative is topic of the month. Progression is on a if your face fits basis and if you’re no longer topic of the month or useful you will soon know about it. I would say that in recent years it has gone from a nice place to work to a completely toxic environment. Staff turnover is high and pay is below par for how demanding the company is on your time. Senior management lack direction and can’t prioritise leaving valued colleagues to pick up the pieces to which they receive zero appreciation for.  Positives are the staff at the cold face. The tools are good quality so you can believe in the brand and you get a good staff discount. However I can only describe the last few months of my employment here before I saw the light and quit as likened to an abusive relationship. Approach with caution 

  I was trained properly not thrown in at the deep end like other places, who expect you to hit the ground running from day one,everyone on the team helped me  as it’s very easy to make mistakes as there is a lot to the picking process 
 
The Pick rate has been calculated by the fastest picker in the warehouse, only two other members of staff can actually match this person’s numbers which everyone else is expected to do

The company complain they can’t keep/find the staff but have absolutely no problem getting rid of people for low pick rates at the drop of a hat 
Yes they have favourites but those are the people who live and die there

   The scanners are old and a little tricky  to get your head around and your feet kill you after 8 hours, the warehouse and stock is filthy, dust everywhere Avoid if you have allergies.

I have been working with Snap-on for over 30 years now and from my first day at work as a clerk to the current date its been a great place to work. Everyone is friendly and if you work hard and show enthusiasm and a willingness to learn then there are a lot of opportunities not just in the UK but in the USA and Australia to mention just two Countries. I had the privilege of being transferred to Australia for 7 years with Snap-on and I am now working back in the UK again. I would highly recommend working for Snap-on as they are a great Company to work for with lots of opportunities for people to develop their career. 

A typical day would be servicing power tools that have been brought into the service dept for warrenty / service work to be carried out.

I learnt how to repair and service power tools.

The management team are firm but fair.

The workplace culture could be described as easygoing, but professional.

The hardest part of the job was learning a stock / job booking system, but that didn't take long.

I worked through an agency, and feel that my review would be a 5 star review if actually employed diirectly by Snap On.

The most enjoyable part of the job was working with a friendly and helpful team.

Being ur own boss working ur own hours and the support from other dealers

Lack of support from the management & supply chain for product ie repairs, back orders & central supply of products

Ur on ur own dealing with orders & customers. management & supply chain not in the 21st century

Between 10/ 15 hour day so quite busy & demanding but fun

It's a beautifully promoted and celebrated company but the emperor has no clothes. It's the most poorly managed business. Managers avoid you and refuse to help or give any support they spend majority of their time in meetings together or away from their offices or they work from home. You can never get an answer and can't help customers with their needs therefore you're dealing with customer's who need and want answers but you have zero resources and constant deflecting of help.

Rubbish in so many ways can not comment on all

Spend 3 hours watching managment team scratch there heads to come up with a plan 2 hours trying to get it done then be told to scratch that idea and go back to old way

I worked as a Customer Service agent for a period of time. Initially, the role and environment were positive; however, this changed following a shift in management.

The workplace culture became increasingly cut-throat, with a noticeable amount of gossip. Employees who did not consistently align themselves with management or challenge decisions appeared to be treated unfairly. Overall, the experience declined significantly due to management practices rather than the role itself.

Its a good employer but they are not allowing working from home, only for some people and in certain situations. You can learn a lot in any position you take on at Snap-on as they are focused on training new staff. There is a mix of good and bad managers, some more experience than others. Some managers will let their staff get away with a lot, which can create disapointment in a team. Most times people are paid fairly and being treated well by the company. They offer good benefits and loads of staff parties.
