I telephoned about local warehouse work but was told the same company had admin work if I preferred which I did so I went along to the recruitment morning. I was there a couple of hours did some basic tests then had an interview and was asked which shift I wanted to work as there was 2 shifts available for the admin role and it wasn't rotating you picked a shift and stayed on that permanently. I picked 6pm to 2am shift and they said you will get a phone call next Tuesday to confirm your induction next Wednesday great I thought, however the next day they phoned to ask if I could do 2pm until 10pm I said if rotating yes but not on a permanent basis they said oh well we don't have an admin job for you then, no idea what had happened to the 6pm until 2am job they had originally said was available. I decided to try to get a warehouse job there and for the next few weeks every Tuesday they phoned to say probably an induction next Wednesday, but it would get to the Tuesday and I would have to phone them 3 or 4 times to be told it might be next Wednesday. Eventually there was an induction day at which  one staffline team member told me I was on crew 1, so when I got home I sorted out all my childcare around crew 1 Rota, next day another staffline phoned to say you are crew 3 I had to tell them I can't swap now I've put all my childcare in place. When I started the training was lousy and they set you targets even on the first day!Really at least let people learn the job first. When it came to pay day no wage! They claimed not to have my bank details despite me filling out a form which they admitted had been lost and I had been requested to provide my bank details via text from a staffline team member who acknowledged receipt of them, so they had actually had my bank details twice! I got told by one of staff we've sorted it to be in your bank Friday then the next day a different person contacted me to say we have a cheque you have to come and collect. Seriously there Is no communication between onsite staffline team members whatsoever you get told different information all the time. They blame each other for mistakes one of them said my colleague didn't process your bank details that's not my fault and she also said I can't help that my other colleague said wage would be in your bank Friday not my fault. They are so unprofessional this agency never known anything like it. I had to contact head office to sort out my wage but I got no apology for my inconvenience at all.  All this agency is interested is getting bums on seats so to speak to make money out of you. They don't look after you and you are just a number easily replaceable. Please please avoid at all costs there are decent agencies out there but don't use this one unless you really don't mind being treat awful and them messing up your hours and wages but it's never their fault!

A typical day involved managing assigned tasks and meeting performance expectations within a structured workflow. However, the environment was often characterised by close monitoring and frequent reminders regarding job security, particularly from support staff. While responsibilities were clear, the atmosphere created added pressure, which at times made it challenging to focus fully on delivering quality work.

I recently began working for Staffline at a factory and quickly found out that they lack the most important things needed for a successful business. Communication. From the induction to the first day there was no clear communication and things got worse with wrong times being given for shifts, being told their was no work on a moments notice and very little instruction being given. 

What short have been a nice earner, well relatively speaking, became little more than a nightmare inside a week where nothing was made clear.

In a typical working day we would be working on a factory floor using machinery that we weren't trained on. We would be abused by the usual staff members, with one making flagrant and abusive comments in regards to sight issue that one temp had, and the supervisors generally being unhelpful about any issue.

Mistakes made by the temps were made into a big issue though were generally down to the Staffline supervisors being inefficient. They would often come 20 minutes late to put people on assignments, they didn't do their own induction (instead leaving that the hirer), their security cards didn't work for the first 5 days, they would put you in areas that you probably shouldn't have been in, they changed hours on a whim (doing so 30 minutes into one shift) and didn't have the promised amount of work, nor did they pay on the day they said they would.

It's been, to say the least, eye opening and the type of experience that I really can only describe as a convoluted mess without clear direction.

It may have been less than a week but I'm really glad I have something new lined up and that their handbook makes it clear their notice period for the staff is very short.

I've worked for Staffline over 2 years now. What i can tell you is that if you're willing to let the Managers and Supervisors take the mickey out of you in front of 100 staff members. Then feel free to work for Staffline. 

The induction was poorly organised. They expect you to go to a department without you knowing where it is, walking around the factory like headless chicken. Even though the Supervisor know this is your first day at work. The Supervisors don't have any symphaty for any of their staff member, when you tell them that you can't turn up at work due to illnes, they just tell you straight forward that we can't offer you shift anymore, why cause they expected you turn up at work while you were'nt feeling well.

 Also the permanent staff and line managers who think they are very special would treat agency like toilet roll, they will you give dirty looks and when you need help on the lines or if it's your first day at work and you're struggling they would call the line Manager or just shout at you that you're slowing the line down just to get you removed, after that the permanent staff in the line would just make fun out of you. 

To finish off how bad this company is. Agency would call you next day to turn up at work, only to tell you that there is'nt any work due to either too many staff booked in or your name was'nt down on the sheet. They don't even realise that i get from work by 2 buses 9 miles journey and pay £20 weekly for the transport. My only advice is if you're looking for work desprate for money then feel free here to work here, other than that don't bother working for any Staffline they all are the same, treat you like slaves.

I worked under Staffline as worker for local distribution center, picking rolled cages. Started on afternoon shifts, later transfered to night shift.
On afternoon shifts, there would often be early finishes, or shift cancelations, night shifts were more stable in that regard.
I was really happy about hourly salary offered, especialy the fact that company offered weekend/night bonus. Also the opportunity to plan my days off ahead of time was very helpful. (Bear in mind I do not care much about weekends off)
Local team leaders vere very helpful and friendly, and really understanding to my situation when I got hospitalized shortly after starting. 
The only downside I would say, is that higher management of company is rather disorganised and if volume of goods was low, they would cancel your shift on short notice. When I was about to return after sick leave, there was a bit of lack of commmunication between the team. Avoiding this is easy though, just always call your team leader specificaly. 

I was working at Chep Pallets, Severn Beach as a forklift driver - a job that I loved but every day on one of the shifts I was bullied by the shift manager, this could vary from verbal abuse - shouting and screaming with every other word being a swear word to him actually squaring up to me a few times or just constantly trying to intimidate me, we were called "agency scum" on many occasions, this was not just happening to me but to the other Staffline employee. When I made a complaint it was quickly covered up and dismissed... both the company and the agency are not interested in the bullying, victimisation and abuse that exists, formal complaints fall on deaf ears, wages are always wrong - short of course sometimes as much as £50+, if you make any complaints the work quickly dries up and your laid off, the only way I could get my story heard was to tell my story on Facebook to my 5000 friends and their friends of friends, the bullying and abuse and intimidation and threats of violence was horrendous and unbearable, I left after 3 weeks as I couldn't take any more, when I asked to make an official complaint to head office the answer was "don't think there's any more work for you here" yet I'd been told on numerous occasions I was more than capable of doing the job. Be very careful if you choose them.

A typical day at work would involve you going up to the Staffline Office outside of the Factory in Carlisle and either being told you have work (on any line, you never really know where you will end up, even if you haven't been trained up for this line) or you will be sent home, people would have come from two hours travel away just to be told to leave because they have no work, with no warning. You would then go down to the factory and work in a very fast, demanding environment on a factory line. The management of the actual factory were very polite and forgiving if you ran into any problems that couldn't have been avoided. Most of the staff that worked there couldn't speak a word of English so there was a communication barrier between workers which caused many problems with health and safety procedures and general optimization of the line. Most of the other staff members were also Agency staff like myself and couldn't really be bothered working so this caused many problems as the other people tried to pick up the slack. The only enjoyable experience that I had at this job was after work, when we would go for a social gathering like a meal or a visit to the local pub. But most people go to this job for a few quick quid and then they leave, and Staffline couldn't care less. You're just a number to them.

Managers are professional and processes are respected. Night and day difference between this and smaller companies who worked me to exhaustion and then sacked me months in when I was slower since they injured my back. 

Unless you have worked for some of the smaller factories it is hard to understand how calming the professionalism at Morrisons can be. 

Very cheap food on shift and free parking (or bus depending on where you live) is nice. 

Pay was at minimum wage in 2020 and is barely above minimum wage now. It has not increased with inflation either. 

Work is pretty consistent, although it is agency work so hard to say it is secure long-term ppl. After a month with Staffline I got every shift I signed up for as part of the 40 hour option, with extra shifts if I wanted. 

Fixed but unsocial working hours. Options were either 4pm-12am Monday-Friday or 5:30am-4pm Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday. 

If the pay was better I would still be there now. 

I recently worked for Staffline and although the pay was good, the job itself was unrealistic in terms of what you were expected to achieve. Most people that joined with me were told to leave after the probation as they were not able to hit the targets set by staff, even though they had a great accuracy report - proving that it is way too difficult to achieve a good record for both speed and accuracy. Almost every assignment was ridiculously impossible to achieve the target of 92% and this was made even more difficult by the lack of training when it came to stacking.

Weekly reviews are completely wasteful and every single time I told managers what I struggled with on a weekly basis, nothing was done to help me get better. Im not a genius but I know that staff can not improve if they are simply left to their own devices once they've made it aware they are struggling with certain aspects of their workload.

And finally, the communication between staff and employees is non existent. I was given no contact info for any my supervisors, and every time I emailed the admin team I was left with 0 replies every single time. The work sick line is also a waste of time bothering with as this is rarely checked. 

Expectations was high then they made them even higher, one of the managers was extremely rude and was coming at me only. They don’t even take the time to train you at all they make you sign health and safety papers and then throw u at a co-worker for them to train you. The other managers honestly don’t care and couldn’t give one about if you're doing work, they judge people based on their actions outside of work. Within two weeks they expect you to be familiar with everything and to have a perfect performance when it’s impossible. A co-worker threatened me by saying if an order didn’t fit in the third box then they’d hit me and they weren’t laughing/joking about it. Overall most of my co-workers were really nice and super helpful and friendly but the managers ruined the experience for me and didn’t give me a chance to show my skills or they could’ve moved me to a different area. I am not impressed at all, i was starting to get comfortable in the job and starting to enjoy the work apart from the high expectation of performance. i enjoyed getting to know most of my co-workers, we all mostly got on and there was help if needed from them. I wouldn’t work here again or recommend it to anyone.
