As Assistant Nursery Manager, you’ll work closely with the Nursery Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of the nursery.
You’ll be a visible and approachable leader, supporting your team to deliver high-quality care, learning and experiences for every child.
Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the Nursery Manager with the effective day-to-day running of the nursery

Leading, motivating and developing the team

Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, care and learning

Supporting the delivery of our Bee Curious curriculum

Building strong relationships with children, families and colleagues

Supporting staff development, supervision and performance

Helping to create an environment where children feel safe, confident and excited to learn

Contributing to the nursery’s ongoing improvement and development
This is a hands-on leadership role, so you’ll be someone who enjoys being part of the nursery community and is happy to get involved wherever you’re needed.
Rated Good by Ofsted, our Enfield nursery welcomes up to 120 children and offers a bright, welcoming and stimulating environment for children and colleagues alike.

Role Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities

Support the Centre Director in overseeing the daily operations and maintaining educational standards.

Assist in developing and delivering an engaging, high-quality curriculum tailored to the needs of children.

Ensure the centre complies with all relevant regulatory requirements and maintains high safety and health standards.

Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, ensuring a cohesive and motivated team.

Lead efforts to enhance customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and promoting a positive centre experience for families.

Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling, payroll, and recruitment.

Manage operational records and support financial planning to ensure sustainability.
Required Qualifications:
Ideal Candidate:
-
An approved Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
-
Experience within an early years setting, with leadership or supervisory experience ideally as either a Assistant Nursery Manager or Deputy Nursery Manager.

Proven track record of ensuring educational excellence and curriculum development.

Strong communication and organisational skills, with a focus on teamwork.

Experience in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and health and safety protocols.
