We're excited to be recruiting a Baby Practitioner to join our fantastic under 2s team at Little Angels in Bedlington!
The successful candidate will:
- Be passionate about the care and early development of babies and young children
- Always put babies first, understanding that their earliest experiences shape their lifelong development
- Be eager to make a real impact during the most critical window of a child's life - from birth to two years
- Help every baby and their family feel safe, secure and deeply valued
- Love the magic of baby room life - the first smiles, the first steps, the first words
- Have a nurturing, calm and responsive approach, delivering rich sensory and exploratory experiences tailored to babies' individual stages
- Have excellent communication skills to work alongside the team and build warm, trusting partnerships with parents from day one
This may not be the role for you if:
- You think a nappy change is just a nappy change (it's a relationship-building moment!)
- Your idea of a baby activity is switching on an iPad
- You don't have a warm, smiling face - and the patience to match
- You're not ready to get messy with sensory play, water, mud and everything in between
- You won't wear dress up with pride.
Increases in demand for funded childcare places for children under 2 mean we have exciting opportunities across our sites. To meet this demand, our under-2s space has recently been expanded and refurbished - a bright, purpose-designed environment that reflects how seriously we take the earliest years. We're looking for a Baby Practitioner who can start ideally in time for the new term in September. A variety of working patterns are available - please get in touch to find out more.

- Create and maintain a safe, stimulating and nurturing baby room environment where every child can develop at their own pace
- Carry out accurate and meaningful observations, assessments and planning in line with the EYFS for children aged 0–2
- Act as a key person, forming strong and responsive relationships with your key children and their families
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with parents, keeping them informed and involved in their baby's daily experiences and developmental milestones
What we offer:
- A comprehensive wellbeing package through Schools Advisory Support (SAS), including 24-hour GP access, free physiotherapy, free counselling, cancer support, bereavement support and menopause support
- Regular whole-organisation training days, including five dedicated closure days per year so the whole team can focus on professional development together

- Access to an in-house under-2s specialist, a senior teacher and a school nurse — an exceptional support network to help you deliver the very best outcomes for children and families

- Lieu days rewarded for full attendance in every 3-month period
