The Baker is responsible for producing high-quality baked goods according to recipes and food safety standards. This role involves measuring ingredients, preparing doughs and batters, operating baking equipment, monitoring baking processes, and ensuring products meet quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, and other baked goods.
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes.
- Operate ovens, mixers, proofers, and other bakery equipment.
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure product quality.
- Decorate cakes and pastries when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area.
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Check inventory levels and report ingredient shortages.
- Store ingredients and finished products properly.
- Assist with product development and seasonal menu items when needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices.
- Attention to detail and consistency.
- Good time-management skills.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays if required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a bakery or food production environment.

Pay: £12.71-£18.00 per hour
