Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles using schematics and technical manuals to identify issues accurately
- Perform repairs and maintenance on a wide range of vehicle systems, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical components
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs efficiently
- Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems effectively
- Carry out heavy lifting safely when handling parts or equipment during repairs or installations
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair processes clearly and maintaining professional communication
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications while maintaining detailed service records
Experience
- Proven experience as a mechanic with strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle types and systems
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools for precise troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with assembly, maintenance, equipment repair, welding, and the use of hand and power tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in diverse working environments
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach to client interactions
- Prior experience working independently as a self-employed or mobile mechanic is highly desirable
Pay: £100.00-£800.00 per day
