Do you enjoy troubleshooting tech issues? Are you eager to broaden your skills and gain experience across diverse IT settings? Then we want to hear from you!
We're looking for a motivated and reliable Junior IT Support Technician to join our team.
Based in Seaford, East Sussex, you'll provide day-to-day IT support for one of our education customers, a Multi Academy Trust (MAT) comprising Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form schools.
No previous IT work experience is required – if you're enthusiastic about technology, keen to learn and enjoy helping people, we'll provide the training and support you need.
This role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in IT, perhaps having recently completed Further Education or an IT apprenticeship.
This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week), based primarily at one of the Trust's main school sites. You'll be expected to travel between all four sites as required, providing support wherever the needs of the service take you.
What you'll be doing
Working alongside our site-based Engineering Lead, with additional support from our Head of Educational Services, you will:
- Provide deskside and classroom IT support across four school sites within Seaford.
- Diagnose and resolve day-to-day IT issues for staff and, where appropriate, students.
- Develop practical knowledge and experience across a broad range of IT technologies, including:
- Basic network and IP connectivity troubleshooting (wired and wireless).
- Computer and classroom Audio-Visual equipment (projectors, interactive displays and sound systems).
- Windows 11 operating system troubleshooting.
- Windows 10/11 device imaging and deployment.
- Basic Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Build strong hands-on technical and customer service skills through structured training, mentoring and real-world experience from day one.
- Assist with IT projects, device deployments and other technology rollouts.
- Travel between school sites as required to provide responsive on-site support.
What we're looking for

- A genuine interest in technology and a willingness to learn.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Friendly, proactive and able to work well as part of a team.
- Able to work independently when required.
- Comfortable with a physically active role, including regular walking around and between school sites to respond to support requests, and occasional manual handling of IT equipment.
- Prepared to get involved and be hands-on from day one.
- Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (funded by us).
Desirable
- A full UK driving licence and access to a business-insured vehicle to support travel between MAT sites.
