Compassionate Neighbours Coordinator – 30 hours per week
Starting salary £21,324.80 per annum (FTE £26,656) with room to develop and progress through the pay grade banding up to £22,964.80 per annum (FTE £28,706).

Are you passionate about bringing people together and making a real difference in your community? Do you have experience coordinating volunteers, building partnerships and supporting people who may be facing loneliness, serious illness or the end of life?
At Keech Hospice, we're looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Compassionate Neighbours Coordinator to lead and grow our award-winning community programme. You'll recruit, train and support volunteers who provide friendship, companionship and connection to people who need it most.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruit, train and support Compassionate Neighbour volunteers
Match volunteers with individuals who would benefit from companionship and connection
Develop relationships with healthcare, social care, voluntary and faith organisations
Promote the programme across our communities and stakeholders
Monitor impact, maintain records and contribute to service development
Help create compassionate communities
What we’re looking for:
Experience coordinating volunteers, community projects or support services
Excellent organisational, communication and relationship-building skills
Confidence delivering training, presentations and community engagement activities
Understanding of health, social care and the challenges faced by people living with serious or life-limiting illness
Ability to work independently while building strong partnerships across communities
A commitment to inclusion, diversity and reducing social isolation
