Sparrow Cleaning is recruiting one additional Cleaning Operative to join our school cleaning team in Broadbridge Heath.
This position has become available as we continue to expand our school cleaning operation. You will be responsible for helping keep the school clean, safe and ready for pupils and staff each day.
Work is available Monday to Friday between 16:00 and 19:00. Exact hours will depend on the site schedule.
Please note: the Broadbridge Heath site has very limited public transport, so you must be able to travel to and from the site reliably. Applicants who rely solely on public transport are unlikely to be able to reach the site at the required times.
The role includes:
- Cleaning classrooms and teaching areas
- Cleaning washrooms and replenishing consumables
- Cleaning corridors and communal areas
- Cleaning staff rooms and office areas
- Vacuuming, mopping and general floor care
- Wiping surfaces and touchpoints
- Emptying bins and maintaining general presentation
- Following site cleaning schedules and instructions
- Reporting any maintenance, safety or cleaning concerns
- Working safely and professionally within a school environment

Previous cleaning experience is helpful but not essential. We are just as interested in finding someone with the right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.
Sparrow Cleaning provides the cleaning equipment, products and training required for the role.
Because this position involves working within a school environment, the successful applicant will need to meet the relevant safeguarding and DBS requirements. We will explain this as part of the recruitment process.
