We are looking for a practical, hands-on Assembly Assistant to join our assembly and stock team in Thame. This is a varied role combining hardware assembly and testing, returns processing, stock management, 3D printing and ordering.
You will help prepare, assemble, test, dispatch and refurbish hardware and equipment to support smooth day-to-day operations, and play a key role in keeping stock and components organised and ready for use.

About the Role
This role would suit someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work, takes pride in accurate assembly and testing, and is comfortable managing stock and dispatch processes. You will be working directly with technical products, components and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, assemble and test hardware, including camera mounts, system components and product parts.
- Assist with processing, refurbishing and setting up returned PCs and equipment.
- Process customer returns, replacement equipment and customer orders, including international dispatch.
- Assist with stock management, including monitoring stock levels and ordering components and materials as needed.
- Operate and maintain 3D printers, producing parts and accessories as required.
- Support equipment preparation and shipping activities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Essential Skills and Experience
- A practical, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage stock and orders accurately.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively.
- Flexibility to work weekdays, with occasional additional hours as required.
- Previous experience in an assembly, warehouse, logistics or manufacturing role.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with 3D printing, including operating, maintaining or troubleshooting printers.
- Good working knowledge of general computer hardware and mechanical/electronic components.
- Understanding of stock control, dispatch processes, courier systems or order fulfilment workflows.
- Experience handling, testing or refurbishing electronic components or technical equipment.
- Interest in cameras, computer vision, hardware products or embedded systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
Training and Support
Previous experience in a directly similar role is helpful but not essential. Full product and process training will be provided, including hardware preparation standards and stock systems.
