Wilsons Construction & Groundworks Ltd is looking to build a relationship with an experienced, bona fide paving subcontractor to take on paving packages across the North West as our workload increases.
This is subcontract work rather than an employed position. Work will be offered on a job-by-job basis, with the scope and price agreed before starting.
We are looking for a reliable contractor who can take responsibility for the laying and finishing of paving surfaces while Wilsons typically handles the associated groundworks and preparation.
Typical Work
- Block paving
- Porcelain paving
- Concrete and natural stone flags
- Commercial paving
- Kerbs and edgings
- Driveways, paths and external areas
We're looking for someone who can work from prepared levels and specifications and deliver a high-quality finished product without requiring constant supervision.
Requirements
Applicants should ideally:
- Have significant professional paving experience
- Operate on a genuine self-employed/subcontract basis
- Have their own tools and suitable transport
- Hold appropriate public liability insurance
- Be CIS registered
- Be able to provide examples/photos of previous work
- Be reliable and capable of working independently
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship
Having your own small team would be an advantage but isn't essential.
There is potential for regular ongoing work for the right contractor as our workload grows.
