Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and caring Community Care Assistants to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to individuals in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence and wellbeing. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will make a real difference in the lives of those you support.
Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored home care services in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring safety and dignity at all times
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication reminders, and mobility support
- Drive to clients’ homes using your own vehicle or company vehicle, ensuring timely and reliable visits
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care needs
- Maintain accurate records of visits, care provided, and any changes in client conditions using IT systems
- Promote independence by encouraging clients to participate in activities suited to their abilities
- Follow health and safety guidelines rigorously to create a safe environment for both clients and yourself
Qualifications
- Driving licence desirable but not needed
- Experience working in a care home or home care environment is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate approach towards clients
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
