Duties
- Assist bakers with preparing ingredients and mixing dough or batter according to recipes.
- Produce baked goods such as savories,biscuits and pastry shells.
- Support the baking process by loading and unloading ovens, ensuring baked goods are cooked to perfection.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace, including proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
- Follow food safety standards diligently to ensure all products meet hygiene and quality regulations.
- Support with packaging baked items for display or delivery, ensuring presentation is appealing.
- Participate in inventory checks, reporting shortages or issues with ingredients or equipment.
- Collaborate with team members during busy periods to ensure timely production and high-quality output.
- Taking orders over the telephone and assembling for collection.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food production, kitchen work, or bakery environments is mandatory.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and handling procedures is essential.
- Basic understanding of baking techniques and culinary processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt in a dynamic work setting.
- Experience working in restaurants or food service establishments is advantageous.
