Hours: 40h per Week, Monday to Friday between 7:30-17:30
Objectives
To undertake any light and heavy commercial vehicle driving duties within the locality as required.
Daily vehicle movement for the workshop to include MOT presentation and site vehicle movement.
Reporting
The Workshop Driver will report to the Service Manager
Key Responsibilities
· Efficiently carry out all driving duties for the workshop; to include pick up and delivery of customer vehicles.
· Maintain the general cleanliness of customer vehicles undertaking any vehicle cleaning duties as required, to include MOT chassis steam cleaning
· To support the workshop with movement of customer vehicles around the yard and present to technicians in order to minimize workshop downtime
· To maintain a high standard of presentation and levels of customer service within the department is in line with company standards
· To undertake any driving duties as requested both on and offsite ensuring that the "rules" of the road are adhered to at all times
· To present vehicles for MOT; to ensure 100% pass rate.
Key Performance Measures
- To efficiently and effectively carry out all driving duties as and when required by the workshop
- To ensure a high standard of cleanliness in the workshop area and vehicles
Key requirements:
- Class 1/2 license essential
- Experience of driving HGVs
- Customer service experience is preferred
