The children, staff and Governing Body of Tredegar Park Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and inspirational Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join the team with an immediate starting date. We are currently looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant with a passion for the outdoors. This Teaching Assistant will need to inspire our children and staff to get creative outdoors in all weathers.
Our school features a fantastic Forest School which is only set to get better. We want someone who will take care of our Forest School and promote the positive work that takes place there each day of the school year. Our Forest School is also home to our Nurture Farm. The successful candidate will look after our animals and will work with the children to ensure that our animals are happy and safe.
The successful candidate will be responsible for small groups and 1:1 teaching. This teaching will involve working on the Froebelian occupations in the outdoor area. This will include clay and pottery sessions, gardening sessions, creative sewing sessions, carpentry sessions as well as using the outdoor area to promote risky play.
The successful candidate will primarily work with children with additional learning needs. This will include working with those with behaviour difficulties. We are looking for someone who will take the time to understand the reasons for the behaviours exhibited by our children. The successful candidate will spend time with the children to overcome the barriers that they face in order for them to successfully engage in school life at Tredegar Park Primary School.
This full-time role is a new role at Tredegar Park Primary, so we are looking for someone with confidence, initiative and a passion for making this role their own. We want someone who can work with confidence and dedication to provide a world of opportunities for the children.
If successful in the role and depending on further funding, this role could lead onto a permanent role at the school.

Holidays must be taken during school closure periods. The appointment process will involve an interview with the Headteacher and members of the Governing Body.
