CNC Machine Operator

We manufacture high precision mechanical components and electromechanical assemblies for various high technology applications. Including Scientific Instrumentation, Electro-Optics, Bio-Technology, Aerospace, Laser Systems and many other industries. We operate state of the art CNC equipment and produce some very intricate highly toleranced components. Established for over 50 years we offer a first class working environment in our purpose built 15,000 square feet premises.
We currently have a vacancy for a CNC Machine Operator to operate our CNC Lathes and CNC Machining Centres manufacturing small batches of intricate highly toleranced metallic and plastic components.
Main duties:-
Operating CNC Lathes and machining centres under the supervision of our CNC Setter Operators..
Use of inspection equipment to measure components and to make the necessary corrections to maintain tolerances.
Completion of paperwork as per the Company quality system (ISO9001).
Running of multiple machines where cycle times allow.
Deburring of components as instructed.
Requirements:-
Experience of CNC machining or other engineering/manufacturing experience would be a distinct advantage.
You will have an ability to follow written and verbal instruction with a diligent approach and a fine eye for detail.
You must be industrious by nature and be able to stay on task to achieve the agreed throughput.
Hours Mon – Thurs 08:00 – 13:00 13:30 – 17:00 Fri 08:00 – 13:00
Hourly Rate: Dependant on experience.
Overtime (not guaranteed) is paid at time +1/3 for the first 4 hours, and time +1/2 for the next 4 hours.
In addition the Company offers an annual loyalty bonus.
