We are seeking a motivated and skilled Light Commercial & Car Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals to identify necessary repairs accurately
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Repair and replace vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and electrical systems
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs efficiently
- Conduct heavy lifting safely when handling large parts or equipment during repairs or maintenance tasks
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to ensure safe working conditions at all times
- Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, timelines, and maintenance recommendations to enhance customer service experience
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Experience with vehicle maintenance, equipment repair, and routine servicing procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a busy workshop environment
- Excellent customer service skills to explain repairs clearly and build trust with clients
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and troubleshooting methods
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail
