Duties
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee all activity within the premises and detect any suspicious behavior or security breaches.
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility, including entrances, exits, and sensitive areas, to deter theft and unauthorized access.
- Enforce loss prevention protocols by identifying potential theft or vandalism and intervening appropriately.
- Respond swiftly to alarms or emergency situations, providing first aid when necessary and coordinating with emergency responders.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Verify the identity of visitors, contractors, and employees to control access and prevent unauthorized entry.
- Conduct safety inspections and assist with emergency preparedness drills to promote a secure environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in security or surveillance roles is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems, surveillance equipment, and loss prevention techniques is advantageous.
- Certification in first aid or CPR is highly desirable to effectively respond to medical emergencies.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential threats quickly and accurately.
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and effective interaction with team members and visitors.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Ideally hold a SIA licence.
