**Weekend Hours**
We are seeking an enthusiastic and responsible individual to join our team as Bar Staff to help us over busy weekends. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively hospitality environment, in the centre of Hull, ensuring guests enjoy their experience while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Responsibilities
- Serve drinks and efficiently and courteously to customers at the bar and tables
- Take orders accurately and handle cash or card payments using the Zonal point-of-sale system
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning glasses, utensils, and work surfaces
- Ensure compliance with hygiene standards at all times
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Assist in setting up and clearing down the bar area before and after service
- Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and promote specials or events
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of Allergens and hygiene practices is advantageous
- Strong serving skills with a friendly, professional attitude towards guests
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Excellent time management to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt quickly to changing demands
- A positive attitude, reliability, and good communication skills are essential for success in this role
