We are seeking a motivated and skilled Recovery Driver Class 1 & 2 to join our dynamic team. You will possess a driving licence that entitles you to drive a minimum CLASS 2 vehicle along with DCPC and a Digital Drivers Card . candidates should have vehicle recovery industry experience,
Duties
- Operate recovery vehicles and other specialized tools to safely recover and transport vehicles from accident sites, breakdowns, or other locations
- Conduct thorough inspections of recovered vehicles to assess damage and determine appropriate recovery methods
- Ensure all driving activities comply with traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies
- Manage delivery of recovered vehicles to designated locations or repair facilities efficiently and responsibly
- Maintain accurate logs of all recoveries, deliveries, and vehicle movements for reporting purposes
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and emergency responders during recovery operations
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks on recovery trucks to ensure optimal performance
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 or Class 2 commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a recovery driver
- Experience with vehicle recovery equipment such as flatbeds, winches, and towing equipment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently under pressure
- Physical ability to load, unload, and secure vehicles safely during recovery operations
Our customers break down in all conditions so you must be prepared to work in all weathers, be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative.
You will receive training, equipment including PPE to enable you to carry out your duties in a safe and professional environment.
