A bit about us and our role- We have been established for 19 years in Colchester and employ over 50 people locally. We're a real integral part of the cities eating scene.
At this venue, 70% of our menu is breakfast orientated - so having the ability to prep and produce all the various elements of a fantastic quality breakfast , whilst keeping calm under immense pressure of an extremely busy kitchen are vital. So too is adhering to strict food safety techniques. You'll work under the guidance of a head chef and her team.
We open daytime hours only, and close at 2.30pm, so it's great to work in hospitality and get evenings off. You'll start around 09.30, (tbc). You will be working 3 out of 4 weekends.
Working in a small, fun, chilled out team, between 3 and 5 days per week (including weekends) we expect everything from preparing ingredients for the chefs for our traditional menu, organising and cooking specials and helping the chefs to present and serve buffets for corporate events. All the time, whilst having a keen eye on the pot wash which is 50% of your duty. You'll be responsible for safe dating and labelling of our foods and prep, ensuring storage is crisp and clean at all times.
Food and hygiene certification must be up to date. We currently have 5 stars and intend to keep it.
You must have experience in working in busy kitchens, and be reliable and honest. For the right person, you will be rewarded by working for a successful and growing business.
If you fit our criteria... get in touch, we'd love to meet you!
